The immigration bill the Senate began debating this month will create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the US.
The immigration bill will create a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country.
Mother Jones reported:
Pointing to a section of the bill that mandates a CIS photo tool database to enhance E-Verify checks (PDF), Wired last month ominously warned that it would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the US through the collection of state-issued photo IDs. (Biometrics, measurements of physical characteristics like photographs, fingerprints, or iris scans, are used to check against database entries to verify a persons identityfingerprints are a biometric commonly used to track immigrants entering the country.)
A Senate aide contacted by the Daily Beast disputed Wireds report, arguing that the a Supreme Court ruling called Printz v. US would prohibit the federal government from forcing state officials to turn over drivers license images for the CIS database. Even so, the feds already have passport photos, and states could voluntarily hand over additional information.
It looks like the senate aide was wrong.
Already the faces of more than 120 million people are stored in searchable photo databases that officials assembled to prevent drivers-license fraud but that increasingly are used by police to identify suspects, accomplices and even innocent bystanders in a wide range of criminal investigations.
Obamacare will also share personal private health information with federal and state agencies.
But you won’t be able to ask for anybody’s ID who isn’t a Tea Party crazy.
...and yet, I can still vote without showing ID...
it’ll just make it official.
This is horrible.
FUJM, MR, LG, et al. Traitors!!
you can do it a hundred times, if you do it for obama.
Well, in order to buy or sell anything, you’ll have to be marked. Can’t have identity theft.

P.S. We’re doomed - we went looking for the terrorists and it turned out the terrorists were constitutional conservatives. Doh!
With all this spying on people, I thought they already had this, or maybe they just never bothered to tell anyone.
Be a planted digital chip. Can hold tons of data, medical records, tax returns .... everything. They’ll be able to scan a whole room or crowd and know everyone that is there. (or isn’t there)
The Unions are pushing the immigration bill big time ,so will everyone be auto Union members ?
They are grabbing also the medical records,
and have the full body xrays, and genital checks
from TSA.
Meanwhile, they are ignoring the mosques, invaders,
terrorists, terrorist warnings (even on ID cards
as with Hasan).
Meanwhile, HASAN thrives, the Boston Atrocity bleeds
and murders more innocent, and they release
the Cole bombers and an additional 20,000 felons,
and THAT not being enough they transfer
\MANPADs to al Qaeda, also CONVENIENTLY IGNORED.
There is word for this.
cf. United States Code at 18 U.S.C. § 2381
The revolutionary socialist government just keeps outdoing itself. But they are only doing it all for our own good, they say they know best/
The Federal Govt. would never misuse the private information of its citizens, right?
***...prohibit the federal government from forcing state officials to turn over drivers license images for the CIS database...***
Supreme Court ruling? Ha! No problem- simply withdraw Federal funding the said state has come to depend on, and viola! Instant compliance.
If they can demand our phone, credit card, and internet records, why couldn’t they demand hospitals hand over the DNA of every patient?
Hmmmm?
I would admonish folks start objecting to this stuff, but you know what, some idiot or another will explain why it’s such a great idea, and I’m not in the mood to be nice to them.
Don’t forget the DNA database. Pretty soon it will all be one, along with medical records and the firearms you own., and your voting records, and student loans. Time to destroy all of these records. All of them.
“we went looking for the terrorists,,,,,”
Of course we did, that’s why we increased moslem immigration five fold since 9/11. Imported the khat chewing skinnies from Blackhawk down, imported Iraqis, Pakistanis, Chechyns, Egyptians, threw open the border with Mexico, gave Saudi Arabia new fast track visa status, and flew close air support for Al Qeida in Libya. Its also why we scrubbed all negative references to islam in FBI and army training materials and focused on TEA and Christians. Stopping terrorists is also why we ignored it when the Russians said “pssst,, that dude right there is a Chechyn terrorist”.
We did all that because we were trying to stop terror attacks.
Everyone knows you have to spy on regular Americans to stop moslems/
and brag about it to boot...
