A trio of Republicans in the so-called Gang of Eight huddled with leading figures at Fox News Channel on the bipartisan effort in the Senate to reform the nation's immigration system, according to a piece published in this week's issue of The New Yorker.
The story, written by Ryan Lizza, indicated that Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) had discussions with "top hosts" at the conservative cable news network, including Bill OReilly, Sean Hannity and Neil Cavuto, all of whom are " now relatively sympathetic to the Gangs proposed bill."

The Social Security Administration and IRS surely know when a SS# is being used simultaneously in two different areas. Their cooperation should be mandated to alert employers and to stop the fraud.
The Gang of Eight are just puppets of the White House
If Republicans were smart they would run down the clock on any major Obama initiative while his numbers are this low. Bipartinsanship made sense sometimes back in the day when there was more common ground.
Any reasonable approach to immigration reform would begin with enforcing existing laws and putting guarantees in place to insure future laws are enforced. Otherwise, any “reforms” will just become one-sided, selectively-enforced giveaways further empowering the leftwing destruction of our nation.
Put a revenue amendment raising revenue in the bill and strike any severability clause out of the bill. Pass it in the Senate and then send it to the House. Pass it there, have the TOTUS sign it into law and immediately challenge the constitutionality of the bill on grounds that a bill raising taxes must originate in the House. With no severability clause the entire bill is overturned.
Rush has been criticizing the bill since it raised its head again, particularly that if passed it will likely end Republican chances of winning fuure presidential election, the opposite of what Goober Graham was peddling over the weekend.
"Pass that joint over here again!"
Why? He's been raking the amnesty bill over the coals. A few minutes ago, he brought the Ryan Lizza piece to the attention of his millions of listeners and summarized it.
You seem to know a lot about it!
Her soul was lost long ago so, please, end it.
This is way I have stopped watching Fox, and listening to talk radio, Rush, Sean and other conservative talking bobble heads have lost my respect over the BC issue, now this just shows me that I am right.
Glenn has been RAILING against Amnesty. He is attending a rally Wednesday in DC against it.
It has to be called a “Press Conference” in accordance with DC rules.. but he’ll be speaking.
I have been thinking about learning another language....just for fun.
I already know some basic German...my bride speaks german. I’ve been considering Russian, Japanese or Chinese.
I guess I should make it Spanish.... well, it is an easy language too learn.
I completely disengaged for my sanity after last November. Haven’t watched the news since except for a few events ( Boston etc). Certainly don’t watch any cable news shows. I’m much happier.
Wonder if that will change now that Palin is back on the air. I don't see her toeing the corporate line on this one.
I can put two and two and two together.
What about the bombshells that were going to “rock the nation”, “change everything”, “determine the fate of our nation?” Any more news on those....?
Enjoy your Beck press conference, but for me, no thanks.
Cavuto? Say it ain't so!
I used to watch Fox News almost exclusively. That was the real reason for having directv. I cancelled a few months ago and have not missed it much.
Palin is “for” ‘Pathway to Citizenship’....seems she’s already on board.
Ok Doughty...figure this...
I cannot see how Fox, Palin, Rubio and others are suddenly jumping on board this....unless the ‘Gang” of 70 are planning something... which by passing this bill allows them to carry out what they are planning on doing , which we have yet to know what that is.?????
