Politicos Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least:
There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, cant cut it. There shouldnt be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just cant get it, cant do it, dont want to do it. And so you cant obviously discuss that publicly.

Rubio staff isn't denying it but is basically angry that it was included in the article. Rubio is digging his own political grave

There are potential POTUS candidates who can’t cut it now that they are known to be down with amnesty and have no interest in border control.

So their idea is to import a bunch of Mexicans what turned Mexico into a sewer. This is about vote buying at our expense!

This quote from our chubby, balding (have you noticed the jowls and thinning hair?) Ricky Ricardo should be very useful. I'm starting to detest him as much as Lindsey Graham.
A quote like this might even be catnip for the MSM!

In truth, Sen. Rubio has always said the reason we need a robust temporary worker program is to create legal avenues for US businesses to meet labor needs when not enough Americans apply for jobs. They shovel this s--- on us without blinking or gagging. How can anyone be so shameless?

Working hard to destroy your own country, then abandoning it, breaking the laws to enter another country and working to destroy that country is not a noble endeavor. It’s selfish, immoral and criminal and any aide to or any American politician who would defend such behavior is not worthy of representing the American people. Rubio is an ass and so is his staff.

THERE ARE BUSINESS INTERESTS IN THIS COUNTRY THAT HAVE LINED THE POLITICIANS POCKETS TO PUSH AMNESTY SO THEY CAN HAVE A BIGGER LABOR POOL TO CHOOSE FROM AND MORE CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR RETAIL AND GROCERY STORES.
This argrument along with the “fertility” one offered by Jeb Bush show us how desperate they are to shove amnesty down our throats whether we want it or not.

I read a quote on the comments that “GOP elites not afraid of their base” or somthing like that—meaning they are drawing power from somewhere other than the voting base. Good Pt. What and where? Could it be as simple as the Democrats buying Rubio?

The fallacy here is that *every* nation has workers who “can’t cut it”. I’ll tell you one thing though - you can’t beat a good American worker!

The only Americans who can't cut it, lately, are all in Congress!!!! ("What, you mean WE are supposed to legislate?!?! Oh no, run away run away... give it to the courts.... find a special prosecutor.... hand it off to an agency! ANYthing, as long as we don't have to answer for it!")

I'm no Rubio fan but I can't disagree with this statement, given the fact that we live in "47%" Amerika. The reality is that we don't have the collective work ethic in this country that existed not all that long ago. Illegal immigrants might be taking jobs that Americans could do, but good luck getting those Americans to do things like work in the fields or some of the other menial tasks that the immigrants do without much complaint.
