Cheney: I Dont Pay a Lot of Attention to What Barack Obama Says By Patrick Brennan June 16, 2013 10:23 AM
Dick Cheney said this morning that its good the executive branch is still running counterterrorism surveillance operations, but hes unhappy with how the president has talked about them and defended them. The president ought to be able to say this is a righteous program, Cheney said, but President Obama instead has run the program while claiming most prominently in his speech at the National Defense University recently that the War on Terror is coming to an end. On that, the former vice president said, hes just dead wrong . . . its not winding down. In fact, the area thats safe harbor for terrorists now runs all across North Africa and the threats bigger than ever, Cheney told Fox Newss Chris Wallace.
Vice President Cheney said that the administration ruined its credibility through dishonesty over the events in Benghazi and the IRS targeting. The guy has failed to be forthright and honest, Cheney said.
I am not blameless. I was conflicted on the Patriot Act. I took the position of neither supporting or opposing it.
And after hearing you today Dick I think you should enjoy your retirement.
Most of us did. Given that when it was enacted there proably wasn't anyone who had read all of it, what basis did we have to decide one way or the other? All we had to go on was a lot of posturing and platitudes about it being the right thing to do.
Cheney is showing class by not being more forceful in his statements. You may have to read between the lines to get his full meanings, but to make it otherwise would be highly improper - similar to the Dims slamming our country while abroad or constantly blaming Bush for their failures of morality and righteousness.
Hell, Dick, I do not pay ANY attention to what Zero says!
Thank God for him.
I wonder what the "Paid Liar" will say to that.
