BERLIN (AP) A top commander of a Nazi SS-led unit accused of burning villages filled with women and children lied to American immigration officials to get into the United States and has been living in Minnesota since shortly after World War II, according to evidence uncovered by The Associated Press.
Michael Karkoc, 94, told American authorities in 1949 that he had performed no military service during World War II, concealing his work as an officer and founding member of the SS-led Ukrainian Self Defense Legion and later as an officer in the SS Galician Division, according to records obtained by the AP through a Freedom of Information Act request. The Galician Division and a Ukrainian nationalist organization he served in were both on a secret American government blacklist of organizations whose members were forbidden from entering the United States at the time.

He probably had a job, paid his taxes and only sought a better life for his family. He has been here for years. Where have we heard that before.
Because he doesn't deserve to die on his own terms, unlike his victims.
This guy was not forced into the SS......he CHOSE to be in the SS, knowing full well what they did.
Did you read my post??? Did I say anywhere these people should not be brought to justice?
Or 11 million (or 20? or 30?) illegal aliens...
Regards,
GtG
Maybe the new SS wants to know how the old SS operated so they don’t miss a thing?.
He was a Lieutenant.
I wondered just how they confirmed that this guy is the same one in WWII....reading through it, it seems the government and/or the Simon Wiesenthal foundation further investigated him AFTER an AP investigation.
I’m sorry, I just don’t believe anybody in the AP, UPI, or MSM news EVER does investigation (air quotes). Now if the guy was a Republican and ‘took a wide stance’ or texted with a Congressional Page or the like, then I’d believe they went all out and maybe even investigated.
My point is that there was no political gain in this for them, so what explains the ‘investigation?’
I’m not disputing he’s a Nazi, but I’m not fully on-board convinced he is, either. 94 years old....how did they conclusively confirm this?
At this point, WHAT does it matter? Hell the guy is 94. He’s close to punishment, if there is any for him.
Maybe we should just ask them to turn themselves in. ....That’s what we are doing with those “people in the shadows”
I know what you mean. I was simply making a joke about twitter because it seems that the news agencies these days are willing to rely on it as a credible source for investigative journalism.
The Al Qaeda mercenaries we are arming right now in Syria have done a lot worse.
I wasn’t badmouthing back at you. It’s just so frustrating to see lies 24/7/365 out of these ‘journalists’ and then see how they tracked down some Nazi or something? Oh, excuse me while I deal with the puzzling fact that you guys (media) are not now Jew-haters like you’ve been with Israel since its inception. That, in itself, is a very suspicious turn of events.
These people are so used to and comfortable with using just words to indict, try and convict something or someone against the bullshit they’ve been taught by their liberal professors, to be on humanity’s side (this one time) seems a deep contradiction in their nature.
Many top NAZI and their families lived here after the war. Heinrich Müller’s son lived here in Colorado under a new name as a chemical engineer. He came here in 1956 by way of Ireland after the war and then Argentina. He died in 2003. His house was full of Nazi paraphernalia and stolen Nazi loot. His family lives in Ireland. When he died they came for the body and his belongings. During his last days he fell mentally unstable and the wife was his social worker during those days. She later discovered who he was when the family came for him in his last days. They claim the 4th Reich will prevail and have taken steps all these years to amass wealth and political means to bring it back.
On the other hand, the guy is now 94 years old. What is the point of starting deportation proceedings when he is unlikely to live long enough to be deported?
I would much rather see the time and energy devoted to deporting illegal aliens who are living on welfare (like Obama's illegal alien Aunt) or who drive around drunk (like Obama's illegal alien Uncle).
