If he listens to any MSM, he knows nothing about it. I guess he knows now.

This guy sounds like such a frikkin’ wimp! He almost sounds like he thinks it was somehow his fault.

Something like this would make me go Charles Bronson pretty thoroughly.

>> “I would be fine if they took my things, that I understand,” said the man,

Is that something a man would really say? Seriously. Do “men” really find theft acceptable?

I take it he was biking through the jungles of Blackistan when he was jumped? Not familiar with the part of DC mentioned in the article.

"Cmdr. Andrew Solberg, head of the 5th Police District, called the assault isolated. He said officers patrol the trail on foot, bicycle and Segway."

When I lived there during the early Reagan administration, it was liberal la la land. Judging by the comments of the victim, it's gotten much worse.

What the 37-year-old can’t understand is why they did it.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. You fool, haven't you been reading the news? You are the enemy, stupid.

While this was happening, did you wish you had a gun?

‘Violence for violence’s sake is troubling,’ says cyclist attacked by youths on D.C. trail

But violence used to steal stuff in NOT troubling?

A man bicycles through Africa and passes a pack of Hyenas. They chase him, knock him off his bike, and nearly kill him. He survives by climbing a tree and the hyenas eventually leave. “I just don’t understand how that happened” he says.

What’s troubling is that this dilusional white guy has been too brainwashed by PC rhetoric to admit that he was attacked by a pack of “youths” because he’s white. Dilusional whites will do anything to avoid stating the obvious about black violence and racism.

And throwing rocks at a moving train for fun? DC has had to alter bus routes because the “youths” would not refrain from throwing rocks at the bus. Yet we’re all supposed to pretend that there is no problem with “youths”. Meanwhile our taxes have to cover the damaged trains and buses and pay for extra security. Some “diverse” areas practically have to become a police state.

Meanwhile, now that the Trayvon Martin jury selection is happening, numerous talking heads will be telling us how evil and racist it is to presume that a teenage black male is up to no good.

The black community always wants to blame outsiders for noticing their pathologies while doing everything to deny those obvious pathologies exist. They have no accountability and can’t admit that the “racism” people show of being weary around questionable looking young black men is completely supported by criminal statistics.

“And the lack of apparent motive is haunting the married father of two...”

The liberal pets are biting the hand that feeds them, and this idiot can’t figure out why. Proving again that liberals have an IQ of 70 or less.

Non-descript "youths" again.

Amazing how the press only gets detailed descriptions of perps who aren't Eric Holder's people.

The area of this attack is beginning to gentrify, and the bike trail brings in substantial non-motorized traffic as well. I would expect a scattering of such attacks in the future as the area improves, a progressively heavier police presence, and within 10 years, a solidly middle class neighborhood. Having been the proverbial salt in the pepper shaker 30 years ago when I bought a house east of Lincoln Park on Capitol Hill, I have a healthy rooting interest in the pioneers who are going to turn this area around.

If you take a close look at the map in the story, you will see that the area of the attack is just beside the northbound railroad tracks adjacent to the rail yards and north of New York Avenue. As in many cities, the railroad corridor is rough. To compound the problem, New York Avenue, once a graceful street, was turned into a commuter sewer in the 1960's, making it all-but-uninhabitable for folks with two nickels to rub together, and thus a magnet for the undesirables. On top of that, Eckington is home to a big industrial/warehouse area full of big sterile boxes with large stretches deserted at night. A tough combination all around. This will not make much sense to the out-of-towners, but y'all have heard of Anacostia, and this area for many years was every bit as bad. But it is improving rapidly; for that matter, so is much of Anacostia.

There is very strong redevelopment pushing north from Union Station, with Metro stops becoming the hub for some pretty nice improvements in many areas. Eckington is too close to Capitol Hill and downtown not to redevelop. H Street, long a battleground, is turning into a destination, and good things are moving north. I've lived on Capitol Hill for over 30 years and long regarded H Street as a boundary. I now know several people in Trinidad and even a couple in Ivy City, which would have been unthinkable even five years ago.

Since there is no name, perhaps there was no such incident.

The question of the day is....... why was he riding on their turf?

At least down here in Mississippi (and many other States), a person can legally carry some protection - I carry when I walk/jog the neighborhood, and the acres of undeveloped land, because there are a few dogs that are “worrisome” when left unattended as they usually are. I have let the owners know that I will not be menaced off the streets and other areas because they won’t properly control their animals, but I fear that some day I will have to “go Police” on a dog to prevent serious damage to myself.

In every part of the world, there are places where it is not safe. Just because something hasn’t happened to you in one of those places, it doesn’t mean the odds are not in the evildoers’ favor.
