When the IRS is accused of targeting, dont assume theyre speaking metaphorically. From Politico:
As chairman of the House Homeland Security oversight subcommittee, [Jeff] Duncan (R-S.C.) toured a federal law enforcement facility in late May and noticed agents training with the semi-automatic weapons at a firing range. They identified themselves as IRS, he said.
When I left there, its been bugging me for weeks now, why IRS agents are training with a semi-automatic rifle AR-15, which has stand-off capability, Duncan told POLITICO. Are Americans that much of a target that you need that kind of capability..?
I think Americans raise eyebrows when you tell them that IRS agents are training with a type of weapon that has stand-off capability. Its not like theyre carrying a sidearm and they knock on someones door and say, Youre evading your taxes, Duncan said.
A bureaucracy is bad. A politicized bureaucracy is worse. A paramilitary politicized bureaucracy is nuts. And, in fact, evil. There is no reason in a civilized society why the Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Paperwork should have his own Seal Team Six. As I wrote in the magazine last year:
By the way, I use the word agents rather than officials because, in the developed world, the paramilitarized bureaucracy is uniquely American. This is the only G7 government whose education minister has his own SWAT team for policing student-loan compliance. The other day, the Gibson guitar company settled with the feds over an arcane infraction of a law on rare-wood importation after their factories were twice raided by agents bearing automatic weapons. Like the man said, dont bring a knife to a guitar fight. Do musical-instrument manufacturers have a particular reputation for violence?
The Gibson raid looks a little different in light of recent revelations. Oh, well. Could have been worse. Its chief executive a Republican donor might have been shot for resisting arrest, right?
Abolish the IRS. And no personal Delta Force for its successor.
You'd think they'd be able to get by with tasers.
I guess the guy is questioning why IRS agents need to be able to kill tax scofflaws at 300-600 yards, but AR's kill pretty good up close, too, so there's that.
“but when a guy who isnt military wants to dream about taking on the Bad Guys, he gears up with a semi-auto with a fifteen round mag and two extra mags; an M-4, and maybe a 12 gauge. When a guy knows what its all about, and knows he can handle it, he gets himself a S&W Chiefs Special.”
More true than people can make themselves believe. But still true.
Thats alright, Americans are fundamentally changing to. We are becoming a heavily armed nation and we vastly out number them. Many of those weapons they have will end up in our hands.
They are alsoteaching in the academy and at interdepartmental training that the population is out to get them. You have operator wanna be instructors telling everone how bad it’s getting and I am in it everyday and I don’t see it.
That does not surprise me. The entire thrust of the government mind set at the employee level seems to be us verses them. Any attempt by the taxpayers and voters to scale down the bureauracy is akin to someone taking away their free lunch. If someone does not change this notion around, it is going to get very bad.
There were missions in the late 80’s to through the 90’s to contract out as many government functions as they could. That was met with foot dragging by the agencies. That was the beginning of the we verses they mind set IMO. It abated under Bush and seems to have been completely wiped out by BO. Government expands to fill any voids in the same way as the idiom work expands to fill the time available for its completion. The more petty bureaucrats they have, the more they find problems which need more employees and consultants to fix. Most of these clowns are like Don Quiote except the windmills are the taxpayers.
Intimidation or provocation.
Remember you’re dealing with a cowardly ideology - they want to make it look like they are reacting to someone else’s violent behavior.
Only when 'calling on' tax cheats who own yachts
Bingo!
Those ARs are personal defense weapons for use when WE come to get THEM!
Now is the time to ID your local oppressor-wannabees, locate their homes, workplaces and their routes of travel, in preparation for the day when we are forced to relieve them of the weapons WE paid for.
Top priority are THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS.
Yes indeed. Its kinda like a twilight zone episode where you can hear the guy who carries the orders hardsole shoes clacking purposely down the long hallway. You count the steps but you don’t know how many before he gets to the agency he’s heading to. All you can do is be quite and listen for the steps to stop and the hushed murmuring before the show begins. All this we are experienceing now is dress rehearsal.
If they're at all like some of the guys I know, including a couple who were trainers at FLETC, they won't even show when the call-up comes.
And not because they're some kind of super-patriot.
Bean bag rounds for the Border Patrol, but MACHINE-GUNS for tax auditors.
Does ANYONE still wonder where this is headed?
Your mind should keep coming back to THIS:
— > 1.6 billion rounds, and 3,000 MRAP’s. < —
The guns always point IN in any communist country.
Obama spoke of a civilian military force a while back or has everyone forgotten that?
I don’t think he has forgotten. Not one bit.
Not really so worried.
