In a Tuesday segment on “All In” marking 50 years since Wallace personally stopped two black students from registering at University of Alabama, Hayes introduced a clip of Wallace making his stand, saying “George Wallace was obviously the villain in this story.” A chyron overlaid on the clip misidentified Wallace as a Republican.

Furthermore, it is individual broadcasting stations which lose their FCC broadcasting licenses and not an entire network. It is up to individual citizens and their citizen groups in the broadcasting station's market to make the complaints and demand revocation or non-renewal of the broadcasting license for that broadcasting station. It would be much more effective for citizens to organize themselves and document the rreasons for their complaints. An informal objection need not contain the affidavit required for a Petition to Deny. It should, however, contain sufficient information to establish any violation alleged. Additionally, an informal objection not received by the time the station's license renewal is granted will not be considered. Filing Positive Comments. Affirmative comments concerning a licensee's service during the prior license term should be filed by the Petition to Deny deadline through the Office of the Secretary at the addresses listed in the next section.
