Lest we forget, CNN reported in April that ...

Obama told the families and friends of the those killed that they were not forgotten, saying "our hearts have been here in your time of tribulation."

He promised them the nation will help them rebuild and reclaim their small community of about 3,000 people.

Before jumping the gun on the anger train, does anyone know if FEMA helped out in Boston?

Boston Marathon bombing fund is over 30 million, and Wast, which injured and killed more people, is a fraction of that.

“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. --Valerie Jarrett

What the heck are we paying them for?
In the long run, Texas will probably be better off without the FEMA "Help". Rebuilding will be completed before FEMA would have finished their "assessment".

As a Conservative, I don’t think FEMA should exist at all. Texas can rebuild this town better on its own.

Once he reads about FEMA's decision in the papers, he'll be shocked.

Same day he went to Planned Pa. . .whatever they call themselves, pretending with them that they do wonderful things, when they all know they collect 500 million last year alone, which helps BO in garnering support from 55 percent of stupid women who think it’s wonderful to be able to kill their children and need politicians to keep that right because one day they will no longer have the right to do so and they will be seen as worse than slave owners by reducing human life into something other than human with their words and worse than Hitler times ten as they have killed ten times as many as of now and counting.

The president originally was scheduled to address Planned Parenthood on Thursday night, but the appearance was delayed to allow him to spend more time in Texas with the loved ones of those who were killed or injured in last week’s explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas.

In his short speech on Friday, Obama made no reference to a pair of abortion-related issues that made headlines in recent weeks.

On April 5, a federal judge in New York gave Obama’s administration 30 days to begin allowing over-the-counter sales of the morning-after pill, saying the government’s decision to limit such sales to those aged 17 and older was “arbitrary, capricious and unreasonable.”

Planned Parenthood sided with the judge; the administration has yet to say whether it will file an appeal.

In Pennsylvania, abortion provider Kermit Gosnell is standing trial on charges of killing babies after they were born alive at his West Philadelphia clinic. He also is charged in the 2009 overdose death of a 41-year-old patient. Closing arguments in the case were set for Monday.

So much for the Democrat line of “for the children’. $40M of the $54M requested was to rebuilt a leveled school.

He's an effin liar. Should we expect anything less from him or his accomplices?

Just a point of clarification - FEMA denied aid to the state & local governments, but they are providing assistance to individuals/etc. who were affected by the blast.

This may actually be for the best, anyway. Texas is in pretty good fiscal shape (compared to other states), and is more than capable of paying for its own repairs (whether through insurance payouts, the rainy day fund, or elsewhere). Let ‘em pay their own way, and not have to deal with the inevitable strings that come attached to Federal money.

Can’t we here in Texas take care of Texans? Fund raisers and such?

I wonder how Obama would have wanted it had the injured, displaced and killed people in West had been black? If the colours were to be reversed would the decision be called racist?

Not the first time Obama denied a "Disaster Declaration" & FEMA funds to a red state.

No surprise here. ..but hey, the jack-ass got his photo-op.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - As wildfires continue to wreak havoc across Texas, Gov. Rick Perry is criticizing the Obama administration for its denial late Tuesday of the state’s request for a federal Major Disaster Declaration to assist with the ongoing wildfire season, which has burned more than 2.2 million acres.
