Secret Service Visits Outspoken Obama Critic – Because of Tweets
Gateway Pundit ^ | June 12, 2013 | Jim Hoft

Tom Francois is an outspoken critic of Barack Hussein Obama- and has a robust Twitter presence. He also likes to dabble with his “paint” program to create funny cartoons. He has never threatened the President in any way, manner or form.

On April 11, 2013, he heard relentless pounding on his door shouts of “Police!” The officers introduced themselves as members of The Secret Service and asked if they could “take a look around.”

Since Tom had nothing to hide (and he didn’t want any return visits) – he complied fully with their request. He even signed a consent to search his premises AND an “Authorization To Review Medical and Mental Health Records!”

They asked Tom if he ever left his state or traveled to Washington, D.C.

One Agent asked Tom if he has any intentions of “whacking” the President.” To which Tom replied- “Of course not. I wish him no harm. I disagree with his policies and actions and I make no bones about it. It’s my First Amendment Right and I intend to exercise it.”

When I spoke to Tom he said, “Yes, I am EXTREMELY critical of Obama in my posts, but I never cross the line and threaten his being. EVER. It’s just the idea of Obama’s Secret Service intruding on my life when they knew I wasn’t really a threat.”

The Secret Service had a thick FBI file- filled with screenshots of hundreds of posts. Said Tom, “I flat out told them ‘I have NEVER threatened Obama’s life! Yes, I despise him as you can plainly see, but I have that right!’ They actually ADMITTED and agreed

Letting them search is what nearly anyone would have done in that circumstance, but it may have been a mistake in retrospect.

He never should have let them search or signed away his medical records. The government will continue to bully like this as long as people meekly submit to it.

LOL ... why do they bother. They can see America and one has to believe they fear us, because they do. America and the Lady of America will not go down easy. For the simple reason ... of Americans are Americans. Repeal the First, Repeal the Second ... To quote hillary ... What difference does it make. Americans will still be here. Go for it D.C.

I don’t wish you harm but I do wish you a speedy trial, conviction, and lengthy jail term for your crimes against the citizens of this country.

Never comply with “requests”, but honor lawful warrants.

Should have asked them first if they have a warrant. Then told them to pack sand until they do. Inviting them in waves many protective rights that can’t be regained.

The fact that the SS showed up even though he never threatened the POSUS demonstrates that they are not playing nice to start with.

I would never permit law enforcement to, "take a look around," not even if I was completely innocent, nor would I answer questions without a lawyer present. Many real Americans think our country would be much better off without a maliciously evil communist in our White House, but the problem is the voters who put that drug-addled bigot in our White House, not the particular narcissist those parasitic voters chose to destroy our country. People like us are not a threat to the pathetic thug that our Secret Service is stuck with protecting, but their agents are going to have to work at it to prove that if they bother visiting.

He was lucky they just sent the SS and not Janet Napolitano. She would have given him a full body cavity search.

I suspect that I’d be pretty intimidated by a visit from *Osama Obama’s* Secret Service but I hope I’d have the presence of mind to respond to “may we came in?” with “not without my lawyer present”...or “not without a warrant”...or “arrest me or please leave”.

Note to you government snoops taking screenshots of my internet posts:

Get a warrant or leave me the hell alone. Show up without one and I’ll hand you a pocket copy of the Constitution and slam the door in your face.

Yes, this is shocking and chilling.

Just consider what we all see on Free Republic. Almost everyone here is critical of the president, his policies, liberalism in general. Yet nobody here is threatening the president, advocating violence against him, or anything of that nature. Everything said here is based on disagreement with the policies of this administration.

We’re seeing a quantum leap in absurd reasoning, if debate and disagreement with policies and political views of our president will be defined somehow as threats to the president.

If you tweet a threat of violence against POTUS, you should expect a visit from these guys.

You actually have a patriotic duty to refuse. If everyone says, no problem, then the claim of “what do you have to hide” falls on deaf ears.

This is why those that actually use open cary laws to open carry in public. Because nobody does it any more they create a disturbance simply by exercising their right.

It is extremely important to refuse. The message is then clear: It is culturally improper for cops to even ASK to look around your place without a search warrant.

One of many reasons twitter is really useless unless you are some celebrity trying to keep your existence on the minds of the public.

It is a pi$$ poor communication tool.
