As downpours and tornadoes hit the country, actor and conservation activist Robert Redford had weather on his mind and urged President Obama to follow suit.
Redford challenged the president to strike at pollution and singled out coal-fired power plants as the root cause of the problem.
Four months ago, President Obama spoke of our obligation to combat climate change, saying failure to do so would betray our children and future generations, Redford was quoted as saying in a news release. I just hope he has the courage of his convictions.
Although the president continues to voice his commitment to cutting down on pollution, the situation calls for more action as well as words, according to Redford and the NRDC.
In April, the EPA missed its deadline to issue a limit on carbon emissions that would have been the first power industry restriction of its kind in U.S. history. The Obama administration also missed its December 2012 deadline to create emission standards for newly built, coal-burning energy plants.

obama don’t have any so he can stop worrying about that.
^this^
This crinkled old has-been is definitely certifiable.
Robert, coal is less polluting than the hot air out of the mouths of numb nuts like you......
Idiot.
No kidding!
Can't think either.
Robert Redford, the actor and environmental superhero, is a vocal supporter of renewable power and sustainable growth but it seems that doesnt include a proposal for an ecofriendly housing development in his corner of the Napa Valley.
Mr. Redford managed to raise a few eyebrows recently when he joined forces with Save Rural Angwin, a group opposing the construction of an eco-village on a 63-acre swath of privately-owned land in the wine country hamlet of Angwin, Calif.
I believe that the citizens of Napa Valley, from American Canyon to Calistoga, care about preserving our beautiful agricultural and rural heritage, Mr. Redford said, according to a published statement at the groups Web site. That is why I am happy to join the Advisory Council of Save Rural Angwin in its efforts to preserve this naturally carved land-basin from development.
He better have courage of conviction, if my hopes come to pass.
Just nuts.
OH! 0 has it no prob, but it to drive the USA in the ground!
Not to woory,Bob,he hasn’t got ANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's too bad he will die without having experienced the harm what he advocates has caused. Some are just better at making messes and/or blaming others for them than they are at cleaning them up.
At least he got to make a lot of money and enjoy fame and its perks in that older world gone by before he and his crew completely totaled it and left the mess "for the children" to deal with.
Your being unkind to idiots by calling this idiot an idiot.
Bobby, you ignorant old fool, the rest of America is worried about Obama’s serial lying and destruction of the fabric of the nation.
No thanks.
.
Idiot
EGADS!!!
