The so-called rate shock from Obamacare has hit Ohio. The states Department of Insurance announced last Thursday that, based on rates submitted by insurers to date, it estimates the average individual-market health insurance premium in 2014 will cost approximately $420, representing an increase of 88 percent compared to 2013.We have warned of these increases, said Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor in the accompanying press release. Consumers will have fewer choices and pay much higher premiums for their health insurance starting in 2014.
There are two main drivers for this increase: risk pool composition changes will require the young to subsidize the old and the healthy to subsidize the sick; and Obamacares expansion of insurance benefits, particularly its required reductions in deductibles and co-pays.

Here are 185 examples of Barack Obamas lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, etc. 24) Lied about the cost of Obamacare
Before Obamacare was passed, Obama promised
I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits either now or in the future. I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period. And to prove that Im serious, there will be a provision in this plan that requires us to come forward with more spending cuts if the savings we promised dont materialize.
However, after Obama signed it, the Washington Post reported that it would add more than $340 billion to the budget deficit over the next decade.
In March 2012, the Congressional Budget Office said that over the next decade, Obamacare would cost twice as much as what Obama had promised.
In May 2013, it was reported that Obamacares program for high risk patients was more expensive than what Obama had promised.

Civil war will erupt the day the first IRS liens take place for our inability to pay 20K a year per family for ObamaCare.

Screw the people of Ohio.
People like me tried to warn them. People like me tried to explain.
And we were called "racists" and "Homophobes". We were shouted down with all kinds of cutesy left wing buzz words and phrases.
Now all I can say to the people of Ohio is PAY YOUR TAXES.
You voted for it.

And what you posted of the lies about the costs are only half of the fiscal problem. As part of the effort to make the phoney-baloney numbers add up, the government nationalized the student-loan industry. The “rate increase” that will go to 6.8% is intended to fund 0bamacare. Now they don’t want to impose the rate increase.
Nobody is talking about what effect that will have on 0bamacare and it’s fiscal impact.
To use one of my favorite metaphors: This regime isn’t a fiscal train wreck, it’s a B 17 raid on the rail yard.

An yet ALL of the Stupid people everywhere will blame the Insurance Companies and Capitalism , and never in a million years accept that it was Demoncrats and Obama, Mark my words, I am seeing it already.
But then thats what the commies want. Quicker to single payer that way.

If only the detrimental effects of liberal policies would only fall on the liberals who wanted them in the first place...
And the only way to do that is with strict state sovereignty.

No it won’t. If what we’ve learned about the spying didn’t cause an uproar, a few IRS liens won’t make a ripple.
To: VerySadAmerican
There’s an uproar ~ but you’re posting on FR where we actually try to discuss these issues somewhat dispassionately.

There are going to be thousands upon thousands of patriotic, conservative Ohioans that will be crushed financially when this occurs. You think they weren't listening?
There were many Ohioans screaming from the same mountaintops about this, only to watch that pinko commie scum win out in the end....not once, but twice.
There were lots of Ohioans working the phones, watching the polls, and canvasing the streets to do whatever they could to prevent this.
In the end, communism won. I wish all of the communists everything they deserve. I wish them all of the pain and hardship their vote has wrought.
But for those Ohioans who fought the good fight only to come out on the losing end, I wish them and their families the best of luck and hope that they can persevere through our country's inevitable demise.

Nothing shocking or unexpected in any of this. The major thrust of Obamacare is to cause the masses to get teed off at the private medical insurance market (what remains of it), so teed off that Zero and his fellow socialists will be able amp up the rhetoric of hatred against the private sector so that single payer, one size fits all national health care - as in Canada - will become more than acceptable to a dumbed down majority!!!
Apparently these airheads have never noticed the flow of Canadians into the US for medical services difficult or impossible to obtain under the Canadian system.
To: justiceseeker93
The whole plan was for the single-payer, two-tiered system. It’s all run by the government, but there are the “preferred” providers for the nomenklatura, and then third-world class care for the peons.

Just notice who the Teachers unions are blaming for increased premiums....... ~ uh ~ most of them are immune from those increases so that's not really an issue with them. Because of that they don't have any interest in pushing single payer.
On the other hand, EVERYBODY ELSE will blame OBAMAKKKARE ~ because the Democrats made a big deal out of it.
