And on THAT note,
Good Night, dear FRiends.
Short naps in GranMa and mine and we each cot her for an 1.5 nap
went to a.i.t. for radio teletype there at north fort. went to satellite training there as well A-1-2 signal battalion!
Ah memories. I actually enjoyed my time at Ft. Gordon. I remember strolling on my off time on green meadows with pear trees. I remember eating one right off the tree. So good. I enjoyed walks about town, and the beautiful homes.
I left Ft. Gordon for Viet Nam October 1966. I never made it as my orders were changed during the train trip from Ft. Gordon to SeaTac via Chicago to South Korea to replace departing Military Police personnel there. I was stationed at the 55th MP Co. in Uijongbu outside of Camp Red Cloud for the duration of my active duty.

I was born in FT. Gordon in 1952
What a coincidence!! I completed the same 05C20 radio teletype operator training in December, 1967 then completed my service in Germany.
We are going to take my Dad’s ashes out to the Fort Richardson National Cemetery on August 2nd. Tomorrow I have to fax his Honorable Discharge paper, a Death Certificate, and my Mom’s SS#. We know her #, but do you think we can find her actual card.....
We are on the hunt without luck so far.
