This past weekend, Cosby penned an op-ed for The New York Post in which he detailed some of the flaws in modern society. He also suggested we should take a page out of the Koran if we want to have healthier families, less crime and more productive people.
I’m a Christian. But Muslims are misunderstood. Intentionally misunderstood. We should all be more like them. They make sense, especially with their children. There is no other group like the Black Muslims, who put so much effort into teaching children the right things, they don’t smoke, they don’t drink or overindulge in alcohol, they protect their women, they command respect. And what do these other people do?
They complain about them, they criticize them. We’d be a better world if we emulated them. We don’t have to become black Muslims, but we can embrace the things that work.

Ya beat me to it, I was going to ask if he was a boxer in his younger years. He was a frequent speaker @ a Banquet Hall I worked @ in my Youth, just before I started when he was getting his degree @ UMass and he would hang with the waiters and waitresses.
This is not the same guy I heard about, but even then they noted success went to his head after a while...

When Christians try to do those things, we are called intolerant and “rigid”. We are told that we can not enforce our religious values on our children. We are told that our moral codes are outdated.
And who tells us that?? Liberals from Hollywood.

I don’t agree with everything he says, but he’s squarely placing blame on black culture, and specifically on families. Some of the things he mentions in the second half of the article would square with the beliefs of many on FR.

While Sharia Law requires the killing of infidels and apostates, I'm not aware that the Ten Commandments requires similar retribution.
