This past weekend, Cosby penned an op-ed for The New York Post in which he detailed some of the flaws in modern society. He also suggested we should take a page out of the Koran if we want to have healthier families, less crime and more productive people.
I’m a Christian. But Muslims are misunderstood. Intentionally misunderstood. We should all be more like them. They make sense, especially with their children. There is no other group like the Black Muslims, who put so much effort into teaching children the right things, they don’t smoke, they don’t drink or overindulge in alcohol, they protect their women, they command respect. And what do these other people do?
They complain about them, they criticize them. We’d be a better world if we emulated them. We don’t have to become black Muslims, but we can embrace the things that work.

It is Cosby’s superficial understanding of Islam, not the Cristian misunderstanding that is the issue.
While the idea of raising your kids without the drugs and alcohol etc is appealing, the devil is “LITERALLY” in the details.
Islam is the antithesis of Christianity.

Well, give credit where credit is due. Dr. Cosby’s kids led wonderful lives. Not! He’s trying to push his guilt as a disaster of a parent onto us. It ain’t gonna work Dr. Cosby. You failed your family and nothing you say or do can repair that. Rot in HELL, but don’t try to push your guilt onto us.
Good points...if Cosby was told that Mormans actually do a lot of what he finds admirable without killing people if they don’t sign up, wonder how that would go over with the nut-job.
They don’t smoke or chew, and they’ll kill anyone who do.
Modern Christianity is a cafeteria. You take what you want, generally the desert, and you leave the rest.
The man has a point, but I think I would have used a more durable object for the metaphor, like the Amish.
Problem with that is his putative audience, his own black grandchildren and great grandchildren, think the Amish are cold-ass honkies, and don’t pay them no nevamind.
More productive people? Islamic culture gives us the least productive societies on earth.
I’ve taken many pages out of the Koran when I’ve run out of my two-ply.
I guess he doesn’t want us to emulate the barbaric, horrific parts of islam, that can’t be separated from it. Because it’s in the Koran, and it supercedes all the nice ideas Bill thinks they operate under.
There’s a line in the last “Breaking Bad” season where the top leo guy is being removed for missing a crook right under his nose for years. He like, “I had him over to my place for dinner with my family. We grilled out. He showed me how to make a pouch out of foil for my fish, so it didn’t get stuck to the grates. Now everytime I grill fish, I make a little pouch. And now, you find out that everything you thought you knew about someone, was a lie. And it was right under my nose.”
That’s the same sentiment I have for muslims in this country. They are all just acting nice. Biding their time. It’s all deception, the niceness is just a phony cover. If they could act without severe penalty like they do in Saudi Arabia, or Egypt, or Somalia, THEY WOULD. They would because they prove time and time again, wherever they are in the world, when they get enough power, they begin to get more and more hostile, and demand more and more ridiculous demands, and get more and more violent and justify their violence on their religion of islam.
Wake the eff up everyone. The people around you being nice to you, it’s just a front. If they could force you into a convert-or-die situation, and not get in trouble for it, they would. Don’t doubt it. They would, because if we’ve seen any consistency from muslims wherever they are in the world, it’s that the more power they get, the more violent towards non-muslims where they are, they become. The nicety is a veneer to keep them safe until their numbers are larger and they can start “flexing” their anger and demands and be violent, and have their muslim and non-muslim apologists tell everyone the people complaining about the muslims are the problem.

Bill Cosby....have you gone nuts??? They also teach their children to hate “whitey.” Now how is that a good thing?
