Amazing police response!

BTW, I've noticed these sorts of articles around these parts have really taken to emphasizing exact gun models and calibers for some reason. I think they must think that somehow that makes guns seem more real, and more bad for some reason. Usually, our local reporters are lazy as hell and rarely get into any details of anything.

He's lucky he didn't shoot himself.

I love my Glock 17 Gen 4. And that’s coming from a long time Sig lover.

Only 3 hits- all by officer, out of 12. Perp drunk. Adrenalin, nerves, etc. hits about normal in “sudden” shootout

It wasn’t exactly a fair fight.

No kidding! At first I was going to comment on poor marksmanship but at that blood alcohol level, I’m impressed he was even awake.

Moral of the story:

Do not attempt shootouts with police officers while too drunk to operate a motor vehicle.

Impaired judgment is such a handicap.

Not only that, didn’t the perp realize he was violating the new improved kolorado limited capacity magazine law. That should have put an end to the whole scenario right then and there. What’s next? Anyone that is “known” to consume alcohol prohibited from firearm possession? Although there is no doubt that firearms and booze DO NOT mix. Not sure if it’s the effect of the booze or the proximity of the firearm that is the problem. But.................I gotta lean at the object that alters your thought pattern. Especially at .311 BAC. WOW!

Dumbass should have stuck to legal marijuana. No limits in Colorado for driving under the influence.

Depends on who got off the first round of shots first.

Secondly, the ‘vest’ claim in the article was incomplete - only if the AR-15 was loaded with penetrator rounds.

So, the other 9 missed their mark. That’s shameful. Good thing there weren’t bystanders or a dog nearby.

On one had the alcohol probably impaired the perp’s aim, but on the other if he had been sober he may not have fired at all. But then, he was driving around with an AR15 in the front seat.

I like the 19 because from a concealability(sp) standpoint. I have a 34 for fun. If you haven’t put the ghost rocket trigger connector in, check it out.
