Renee Montagne from NPR spoke with liberal columnist and author Glenn Greenwald, the reporter who co-wrote the stories for the British newspaper The Guardian, today on the massive data-mining scandal.
Greenwald dropped this bomb during the interview.
“There are reported examples of the NSA, analysts at the NSA, using mechanisms they have access to. ABC reported several years ago through whistle blowers that they have used it to eavesdrop on people on whom they have personal grudges. There are isolated examples of the Patriot Act being abused. The problem is that the entire system operates behind a wall of extreme secrecy.”

I think you’re forgetting some things: by giving the Chinese military - and others, but they had the means to use it - something like a 30 year jump in nuclear and ICBM technologies.
Clinton also successfully demonstrated the toothlessness of an impeachment without support of the Democrats.
I doubt they were scapegoats. But yes it seems likely that they had rather more support than claimed.
Why are they pushing this story?
If these crimes against democracy have no consequences, then why would they stop committing them. There must be serious jail time to send a message.

I tried to find the source of that quote, and it seems that the only source anyone knew of was the ‘White House Insider’ website guy. (Ulsterman?). I found someone who did a cut and paste from that website, and it seemed like a hearsay quote to me. I REALLY wish someone would provide definitive proof of its authenticity so i can use all those cool graphics on social media. Please let me know if you ever run across it.

We already have one in progress. What we need is a restoration back to the Founder's Constitution. How and if we get there at this point is anyone's guess, but the current crop of "representation", coupled with a growing populace of bloodsuckers makes a peaceful restoration unlikely.
I am a trained historian by trade. Sometimes when you can't find the source you have to look at all of the surrounding information, like intent, outcome, previous activity, etc. Crime detectives do a similar thing looking for who committed the crime.
So, if Jarrett is fulfilling the words that she "supposedly" said chances are she said it and the person who quoted her does not want it to be known who really said it for fear of major retribution.

You can almost tell who is compromised when the votes come up...which is why the 'pubbies haven't stopped much of what should have been dead in the House.
