An employee of the plant told us that:
"We were told that Senator Schumer will not be conforming to our GMP policy, so no hair net, bump cap, safety glasses, etc. Even the CEO of Pepsi and the founding parent of Muller took off their jewelry and conformed to our GMP and safety policies."

It’s all a part of the “do you know who I am” culture!
He does have to obey laws or follow rules. He’s special!

Same arrogant “Do you know who I am?” attitude as his refusal to shut off his cell phone on the airplane.

I have never seen a more arrogant, unpleasant creep than this Schumer creature. I’d like to, well, you know, meet him.

Interesting that the top management didn’t have the guts to inform the senator: no GMP, no photo-op. But I’ve heard it’s very dangerous to get between Schumer and a camera.

For those who don’t know, GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices and is mandated by the FDA for medical device, drug manufacturing and a whole host of other industries. Companies can be severely penalized for not adhering to their GMP rules.
