The Era of Contempt - One theme connects all the Obama administration scandals.
American Spectator ^ | 6.6.13 | FRANK SCHELL

Posted on 06/06/2013 10:07:03 PM PDT by neverdem

The Obama Administration has presented such an array of botched domestic and foreign policies that an observer can become disoriented. Seeing a blur of so many negative events is like watching a Jason Bourne movie, with the camera on high speed. Each alleged malfeasance or scandal is worthy in itself of deliberate scrutiny, yet as we start to examine each one, others suddenly compete for our attention. It is a dazzling tapestry of mismanagement at best. But there is one theme that connects it all: contempt...

--snip--

In a disingenuous and cynical act, Attorney General Eric Holder invited journalists to an “off the record meeting,” again evidencing contempt for openness and the principle of transparency which the Administration has piously affirmed. All this comes from an Attorney General already held in contempt by the House of Representatives for not presenting documents relating to the mismanaged Mexican Fast and Furious gun tracking operation, the first such a sanction of a Cabinet official in American history. Moreover, it has been revealed that an anti-abortion group in Iowa was directed to commit to the IRS that it would not demonstrate in front of Planned Parenthood, a crudely repressive action by the Department of Justice that seems at odds with the First Amendment...

--snip--

What we have is a matrix of contempt — contempt for the American people, or at least about half of them; contempt for the principles of transparency and stewardship; and contempt for the pursuit of truth. Let us hope the electorate will speak out and make its will known; resignations of shameless senior U.S. officials could be too much to hope for.

Who knows — we might even get to hear Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, state that in an era of moral relativism, we must make allowances for...

Those who respect neither civility or laws eventually lose the protection of both.

I hear you, but something tells me that’s exactly what they want. I believe they’re all set up and prepared for that and cannot WAIT for it.

A passive and stupid and naive American USSA public that sits back and laps up the propaganda from pravda. First we need a Congress defending our Constitution instead of politics. It means impeaching Presidents that over step and not rolling over for wanna be Putins.. If they don’t go after Obama on this it will only get worse under the next administration regardless of Party.

Taking all the scandals together and the hoarding of ammunition by Obama one has to wonder when the coup will take place.

I've noticed the trouble this has caused him!!! (not!)

This is just wrong. There was never any attempt to track the guns in F&F. It was therefore not "mismanaged," but had purposes at deviance from the proffered intent: Arm our enemies and justify the UN Small Arms Treaty with which to disarm Americans.
You are absolutely correct.

As well, the author made another obvoius mistake in the little bit of the article quoted above:
...it has been revealed that an anti-abortion group in Iowa was directed to commit to the IRS that it would not demonstrate in front of Planned Parenthood, a crudely repressive action by the Department of Justice that seems at odds with the First Amendment...
Teeasury, not Justice. Kind of impacts his credibility to be wrong that many times...

IMHO

People are forgetting that this government has identified Tea Partiers, gun control advocates and other conservatives as “terrorists”. When we read that the phone spying efforts were aimed at rooting out terrorists and their networks, I do not think that the government thinks that “terrorist” means what we think it means. I think that they wanted to monitor US calling patterns to identify conservatives and their allies.

Contempt fits right in with his Narcissistic Personality Disorder. So is the DEEP Narcissistic Rage that will come out when he's cornered exhibit itself as a false flag? Wait for it. . Coming to a neigborhood near you soon.

Completely agree and seconded! Narcissists do NOT back down when they're cornered. They tend to become completely irrational and violent. Obama is approaching that point.

Let me give you a clue as to how the fedgov spends money. I worked for many years for the govmint, in the VA system. One year we were over budgeted, and there was a pot f money left over for our local program. We were encouraged to spend it, no matter on what--anything in the GSA catalog. So we decided to refurbish a couple offices. Nothing special--just the usual battleship gray steelcase desk, couple of office chairs, a five foot file cabinet or two, a round table and some chairs for the occasional meeting. Fifty thousand dollars, more or less. And that was 20 years ago.
