House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on Thursday that health insurance premiums will go up under Obamacare because people who did not buy insurance before, and thus had no premium at all, will now be forced to buy insurance.
She also urged people to be optimistic about Obamacare. You just see, Pelosi said. I mean be optimistic about it. It is a very, very exciting enterprise.
Its also about what you get for the money, Pelosi added. In other words, people will be getting no lifetime or annual limits on their coverage, no discrimination because of a preexisting medical condition. It has a whole array of quality that is in the legislation. But if you dont have health insurance, and you dont qualify for a subsidy, and youre mandated to have health insurance, yes, you will have an increase, she said.
I dont remember saying that everybody in the country would have a lower premium, because everybody in the country doesnt have health insurance, Pelosi continued. So how could it be lower? But the fact is, the value of what you get for the cost that you pay is a reduction in cost to you.

Trying to keep her lies straight while being forced to admit the truths that conservatives have been repeating for ages.

The earlier argument was that if everyone was forced to have insurance you would get rid of the free riders who went to the emergency room, got treatment and skipped on the bill which made everyone else's bill higher. Force the free riders to pay and the other payers' insurance bills would drop.

now let me see.
last year I could buy health insurance for $6000
next year Pelosi will require me to buy the same product for $23,000
why isn’t that just a theft of $17,000 from my family?

no lifetime or annual limits on their coverage BS, Nanzi. We all know that this is what the IPAB is about - determining if someone has used "too much" from the healthcare system during their life. Or, actually, whether the person is supportive of democrats or not.

Those who don’t pay for insurance now will pay more - because they have to buy insurance even if they don’t want it. Those who pay for insurance now will pay more when they have to buy ObamaCare insurance - because they have to buy coverage they didn’t want when it was a choice. Everyone loses.

"Of course your cost will go up. That's why we called it 'Affordable'"

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have got to do something to expunge the idiots out of Washington before they completely destroy our country.
One solution would be to have a much larger number of citizen representatives (perhaps 1 each from every county/parish in the nation), and eliminated most or these corrupt, and paid for few now in power.

who can we complain to in our government to get this theft stopped?

Has she read the bill yet? She was the one who said we'd have to read it before we know what's in it.
I think she also said, when they were trying to pass the thing, that rates would go down....
Now she wants us to believe her again???

You should know that once we have fully implemented, youre going to be able to buy insurance through a pool so that you can get the same good rates as a group that if youre an employee at a big company you can get right now which means your premiums will go down. ~ Pres Obama

But for everybody it is going to be, again, a liberation, a freedomEverybody? The executive branch is exempt from Obamacare. How about getting the president to agree to this liberation, this freedom for himself and his family? If it's not good enough for him, it's not good enough for those of us who pay his salary. Period and end of story.
