Welcome to the era of Bush-Obama, a 16-year span of U.S. history that will be remembered for an unprecedented erosion of civil liberties and a disregard for transparency. On the war against a tacticterrorismand its insidious fallout, the United States could have skipped the 2008 election.
It made little difference.
Despite his clear and popular promises to the contrary, President Obama has not shifted the balance between security and freedom to a more natural stateone not blinded by worst fears and tarred by power grabs.

Fournier is still dedicated to the ABSURD proposition that Bush is to blame for the Assclown's desecration of the Constitution.
Fournier seems to be unable to differentiate between the two men....funny, the differences ARE apparent to anyone with a functioning medulla oblongota.

I just posted elsewhere that this was just a diversion article.
First because it goes back to after 9-11
2nd..because it was Verizon specific.

Obama didn’t stop anything. I believe that escalated it. Obama is responsible but children tend to blame others.

If 0bama was in any way concerned about Bush's programs, he could have at least made an attempt to stop them rather then doubling down as he did.
The "It was bad when Bush did it but it's okay when I do it because Bush did it." excuse has really worn out.

They're probably blaming him via the Patriot Act. People are tired of hearing "Bushes fault".

It doesn’t matter who started this. What matters is who has the courage to END it.

Sounds like it might cover the Boston Bomber timeline. I still say we were tailing them. They just missed momma shoplifting the pressure cookers. Bet she wore a burga all the time.

I love how the guy has no knowledge of anything ... but he (or his staff) knows enough about women’s college basketball to go on ESPN every year to map out the entire tournament ...

Evidence of Muslim terror planning is purposefully ignored by this government, which is openly moving to eradicate political opposition. The murder of DC’s political opponents isn’t far away.

The Patriot Act sounded like a good idea, but there was always the danger that after President Bush left office, the law could be abused by a future president. It has. This country elected and re-elected a socialist, communist dictator who looks upon anyone who opposes him as the enemy. The Patriot Act is the perfect means for him to root out and punish his enemies. That includes all of us.
