Well, if it is Thursday there must be a new Obama scandal. But one thing is for damn sure, whatever that scandal is, you can bet the American mainstream media will be playing catch up and not carrying the glory of breaking a story about a major White House scandal.
Fact: Over the past few weeks, four major scandals have broken over the Obama administration, and it is a very sad (and frightening) truth that our pathetic, American, lapdog mainstream media is not responsible for breaking even a single one.
Verizon? Nope, not our guys. That was the Brits over at The Guardian.
IRS? Nope, not our guys. The IRS broke their own scandal with a planted question.
The Justice Department's seizure of Associated Press phone records? Nope, not our guys. Believe it or not, the Associated Press didn’t even break that story. Like the IRS, we only found out because the Justice Department outted itself in a letter notifying the AP of what it had done.
Benghazi? Are you kidding. With a couple of rare exceptions (Jake Tapper, Sharyl Attkisson) the media has spent the last 8 months attacking those seeking the truth (Congress, Fox News) not seeking the truth. It was the GOP congress that demanded the email exchanges around the shaping of the talking points, not the media.
Left up to the media, we wouldn't know anything about Libya. All of the media's energy was collectively poured into ensuring the truth was never discovered.
And do you want to know what makes this realization especially pathetic? In three of the four scandals (the AP being the exception), had our media been less interested in protecting Power and more interested in holding Power accountable, these huge, career-making stories were right there for their taking.

My local newspaper replaced Aaron Magruder’s political cartoon strip ‘The Boondocks’ with another strip by an African-American, Darrin Bell, and it is called ‘Candorville.’
While less strident, today’s strip involved the laid-back central character and his foil, an uptight conservative (glasses, perpetual scowl) ranting about ‘Benghazi-Gate’, ‘IRS-gate’, ‘e-mail-gate’, ‘drone-gate’, ‘appointing judges-gate’ ... and the cool guy says, “Every single thing isn’t another Watergate.” and the straight guy concludes with “Apathy-gate!”
OK, let’s dissect this ‘humor’ and I’m particularly interested in input from African-American freepers.
He’s right. It’s no Benghazi-gate. No one died at the Watergate apartments. Drone-gate? Same thing: no Americans being targeted, or their computers.
It’s no IRS-gate in that a particular, significant portion of America was not targeted by a government agency. E-mail, same-same. Appointing judges-gate? Please. The GOP-e rolls over like circus dogs ....
As a digression, back in the autumn of 2008 I worked in an office with three black secretaries. During a break we talked about the upcoming election. My opinion of McCain was about the same as everyone here, but I raised the point of his imprisonment in North Vietnam and refusal to accept release, knowing that they would use it for propaganda, him being an admiral’s son. They would concede nothing, even going so far as to apply the word “stupid”.
All right. Here it is: Is there some sort of selective reasoning, ‘cognitive dissonance’—African-American doublethink—preventing black people from being reasonable when it comes down to “lord and savior” (Jamie Fox) Barrack Obama?
The media is not just biased, it is promoting a marxist agenda.
The pathetic, American, lapdog mainstream media is not your friend be warned.
The White House “Ministry of Truth” has better control over the media than Joseph Goebbels did in Nazi Germany in the 1930s. Obama could commit mass murder in front of 100 witnesses and TV cameras and it wouldn’t even make the 16th page of the NYT.
