The Internal Revenue Service has failed to turn over documents requested by the powerful Senate tax-writing panel, which is investigating the tax agency´s practice of targeting conservative organizations. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, the panel´s top Republican, gave the IRS a May 31 deadline to answer dozens of questions related to the special scrutiny the agency was giving to right-leaning groups seeking tax-exempt status. But the troubled IRS let the deadline go by.

What does fantasy have to do with reality? Why quote a movie? Why not quote a reality?
No damn consequences, ever. Congress has little in the way of enforcement powers unless the have a Justice Department willing to bring and prosecute contempt of Congress or perjury charges. With Holder as AG, this just isn’t going to happen, so it’s all just “a tale told by an idiot; all sound and fury, signifying nothing.” The Obama scandals will remain nothing more than bad theater and a distraction for the American people while the Obama government tyranny continues unchecked.
Lets see. Already in this thread theres a Sierra Madre reference, Animal House, Star Trek, Pulp Fiction...
Did I miss any? This whole thread has been hijacked by MOVIES.
Oh the Huge Manatee!
Barb, give it a rest. You have an opportunity to address the issue as you would like, and instead your are focusing on me. If it’s such a vital issue for you, why don’t you focus on it? I’m not stopping you.
Well those IRS people work too hard and need some conference fun and parties...also more dancing lessons.
My homage to “We don’t need no stinkin’ badges”, is a lampoon with a lot of impact for those who can grasp the significance.
For those who can’t, sorry.
crooks uttered that line
they were disgusting crooks
they had no morals
they were vile
they were contemptible
I could simply say they were these things, but there’s a better way to do it, and I believe I revealed that in my post.
The IRs is officially out of ontrol and they are now a rogue agency of the government.
They must be disbanded, as no amount of re-arranging the deck chairs on this Titanic is going to change it.
Lets see. Already in this thread theres a Sierra Madre reference, Animal House, Star Trek, Pulp Fiction...

Oh the Huge Manatee!
what does that mean?
Every citizen should call the IRS EVERY DAY until they provide these documents. That is what THEY would do to us.
100 million phone calls might get these clowns off their lazy lying butts.
Lets see. Already in this thread theres a Sierra Madre reference, Animal House, Star Trek, Pulp Fiction...

Oh the Huge Manatee!
what does that mean?
Garnish their wages and put liens on all of their property until they comply.
Team Obama; accountable to no one.
April 15 IRS deadline does not apply to IRS.
But...but...the panel is so powerful.
“Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, the panel´s top Republican, gave the IRS a May 31 deadline ...”
hmmm - today is June 5th - a tad late are they?
Yeah, just a slight “unseen irony alert.”
RE: The Internal Revenue Service has failed to turn over documents requested by the powerful Senate tax-writing panel, which is investigating the tax agency´s practice of targeting conservative organizations
So, in a stand-off between Senate and the IRS, who wins?
Does the Senate have the power to ENFORCE anything?
I hasten to remind everyone -— Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress... SO?
What did that do?
Consequences? What is that? Is that some kind of result for an action or inaction? Does Obama even know what this is? Has Congress been made aware of this term, ‘consequences’?
22 posts to get to that instead of a “trying to be funny but failing” smart a$$ post....
Thank you!
