If Charlie Crist runs for governor as a Democrat, he’s going to lose.
He’ll either get rubbed out in the Democratic primary, or he’ll lose to Gov. Rick Scott in the general.
If Crist runs for governor, rank-and-file Democratic voters will never again trust the party leaders who support Crist.
Terence McCoy, of the alternative New Times Broward-Palm Beach, made some excellent points in Five Reasons Charlie Crist Will Not Run For Governor, which I urge everyone to read.
McCoy thinks Crist won’t run, but every Democratic leader I know who’s been talking to Crist says he will, and they’re excited about it.
The Democratic leadership in Florida is hungry for power, and it’ll stop at nothing to get it.
The pollsters, who told everyone that Crist was a shoo-in against Marco Rubio in 2010, are the same kind of know-nothings the Democratic leadership is listening to now.
The Democratic establishment is going to try to force feed the crap sandwich that is Crist down the throats of primary voters, but those leaders are in for a shock.

I am not confident that the dems won’t put Crist back in the governor’s mansion.
Their leaders want to, but I don’t think their voters want to.
He would run to hurt the republican.
He would get paid with huge favors to do so.
So, I don’t count him out; he’s a slime politician.

He attacks conservatives to get the loving support of the media and the left.
So now he switches parties to find out they don’t want him, either. I can’t wait to see McCain get the same treatment when he switches
Democrat voters ill vote for exactly whom their “leaders” tell them to vote. Low information voters are very obedient to authority. If Suntan Charlie is the RAT nominee his voters will turn out by the busload. Literally.
But, but, but when he was a Republican all the dems told us how wonderful he was.... What could have changed their little pea pickin’ brains?
It’s pretty sad that the Dems can’t come up with anything better. Rehashing a former Republican has-been doesn’t seem to jive with their “forward” mantra.
I guess the Dems are faster learners than the GOP.

Scary is that Crist will beat Rick Scott....especially after the George Zimmerman trial blows up in Scott’s face

Seems the best case scenario for conservatives at this point is Crist barely losing his RAT primary, and Chafee barely winning his.
Crist reminds me of one of those weak opening acts that won't get off the stage.
