Enter Edward Klein and his updated paperback edition of the best-selling Obama expose, "The Amateur." The rivals, Obama and Clinton, apparently have never really been much of a team.
Klein's sources, some close to Hillary and her former president husband, say a deal was cut between the Clintons and Obama in which Bill last year "would give the key nominating speech at the convention, and a full-throated endorsement of Obama. In exchange, Obama would endorse Hillary Clinton as his successor."
Of course, keeping promises is not Obama's strong suit, as the millions of Americans who will pay a lot more for health insurance can tell you. Klein writes that "after his re-election, Obama began to have second thoughts," preferring "to stay neutral in the next election" causing Bill Clinton to go "ballistic" and threaten retaliation.
After that pressure, according to Klein, "Obama backed down," called his friends at CBS News and arranged "an unprecedented farewell interview" on 60 Minutes alongside Hillary
This scenario makes a lot more sense than a Doris Kearns Goodwin 21st century Lincoln tale of a nasty Chicago politician ending up having a heart of gold especially considering some of the things Klein's Clinton contacts say they've heard Bill say about Obama. "I have no relationship with the president none whatsoever," Bill reportedly said during a 2011 meeting in which he urged his wife to run against Obama in 2012.
"Obama doesn't know how to be president," the 42nd president reportedly added. "He doesn't know how the world works. He's incompetent. He's an amateur!"
In bringing in Hillary Clinton, Obama was no more "Lincolnesque" than Sun Tzu, Machiavelli and Vito Corleone were in advising that you keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

You can’t believe one damn thing any of these guys say.
It would seem to me that if Obama were going to endorse a woman, he would endorse Valerie Jarrett, She has been acting President for the last 4 1/2 years anyway.
Bill wants to be co-president.
‘Rats are no better than Bolsheviks.
Their whole persona is phony — and the low information voters suck it up.
Clinton’s and Self-Serving?
Those words go together like bacon and eggs.
Could Bill run for VP under the Constitution?
Lets hope Zero does that interview right after his impeachment.
Not that the Constitution shouldn't prevent it. But the ‘Rats have corrupted things so much I fear the Constitution doesn't matter anymore.
The head of the Arkansas Democrat Party, Bill Gwatney, was shot dead under very mysterious circumstances on August 13, 2008.
Some have said it was a warning to the Clintons to not raise the eligibility issue at the upcoming convention that year.
Doesn’t matter. They are all owned by the same master.
Romney thought the issue of the economy would win the election for him. At the Democratic convention Bill Clinton made a speech blaming it all on Bush. That may have swayed a lot of low-information voters into thinking that the poor economy was not Obama's fault...it may have won the election for Obama.
You mean!......You mean!......Hillary and Obama aren’t marching in step to a glorious socialist utopia? Why........that means......dare I say it?......they could just be thieves out to loot the public treasury?
If I remember right he beat your wife. And McCain and Romney. He maybe a crook but he's no amateur.
Why should we surprised at the results when two deviant say, “trust me,” to each other. But the real question, which snake is going to be the winner, and there’s no guarantee the Hillary snake will capture victory.
One psychopath ripping another psychopath a new one.
And I mean psychopath in the true clinical definition.
A pair of real sickos.
It wouldnt be a problem if they didnt want to run our country into the ground again for 8 years.
We don’t have 8 years.
The issue isn’t that zero can win elections - he knows how to commit fraud, but he doesn’t have a clue on being the chief CEO, and I suspect that was what Clinton was making a reference to -
Obama and his thugs aren’t amateurs when it comes to fraud and stealing elections. McCain and Romney were afraid to speak up and go after him. We see how that turned out. However, I have to say - I’m thankful McCain isn’t president even though I detest Obama - he is senile, hates conservatives and is more a Democrat than a Republican.
We were so screwed in 2008 and 2012 - except for Sarah Palin. Paul Ryan has turned out to be one big disappointment too.
