An inspirational painting that referenced a Bible verse has been removed from a dining hall at Mountain Home Air Force Base after an anti-religion group filed a complaint.

The painting featured a medieval crusader and referenced Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Meanwhile, pacifist supporters of “Peace Poles”, which contain a phrase the movement’s founder said is “a prayer” (given to him) “directly from God”, are putting up their totems of appeasement in our public parks all over the country, frequently locating them next to Veterans monuments so they can represent a single digit commentary on the sacrifices of the members of our military. Escondido, California’s Grape Day Park is a perfect example.

Here is a photo of open Soldiers' Bible of 1941 from blog "A Shepherd's Voice," similar to one I saw in FR awhile back.

If I remember correctly, the earlier photo showed only the right page of an open Bible. I hadn't known that the left page showed a Christian banner above the US flag with an interesting note concerning the banner.

Also, note that you can see the "LORD'S PRAYER" (lettering reversed) towards the top of the right page, the words actually being on the following page on semitransparent paper.

So given previous WH policy concerning religious expression in armed forces, some bad-apple higher-ups in both WH and the Air Force are wrong about "the rules" imo.

Col. Short is a very smart man. He just greased the skids and expedited his promotion to a star or two. He knows how to play the game.

So I guess “Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition” is now out too.

The culprit. I take it that people melt when they view it. IIRC, atheism was declared a religion by SCOTUS. See: http://www.atheist-community.org/library/articles/read.php?id=742

Replacing one ‘religion’ with another, state-endorsed one, namely, atheism.

United States Government is now fully Anti-Christian.

No more doubt in my mind anymore that the US bureaucracy is the Beast System spoken of in the Book of Revelations.

I guess the government will have to get rid of EVERYTHING!

Since everything on the Earth was made by God, anything that you come into contact with, see, hear or touch could possibly remind someone that it was made by the Creator.

They will have to get rid of all the stars and planets in the universe before they destroy Earth, because someone needs to be here to wipe out the last reminder of the Almighty!

The Marine Corps issued a Bible to me. New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. I still have it.

Matthew 5:9: Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

To wit, I give you, The Peacemaker:
