A new report on world international terrorism activities released by the State Department asserts that there were "no known operational cells" of Al Qaeda or Hezbollah in the Western Hemisphere during the year 2012. This is despite the report acknowledging Iran's increased presence in the hemisphere along with the country's "marked resurgence" of sponsored terrorism.
The State Department released the "Country Reports on Terrorism 2012" late last week which details the United States' assessment of terrorism and counter-terrorism activities in countries around the globe. The Department detailed Iran's "marked resurgence" of terrorism saying: .......

This is as ridiculous as the Bush’s time CIA saying that Iran decided to scuttle their nuke program. My paraphrase.
Now the state department is the acting CIA! Not only speak for intelligence agencies, but also ACTING “militarily” like one!
Case in points, a few weeks ago, I read somewhere, possibly here on FR, that against the CIA objections, the State Department wanted to supply the “rebels” in Libya with stingers to get rid of Qaddafi “on the cheap.
The State dept. did what they wanted and it cost us a US ambassador who was trying to buy the stingers back.
I never thought that a diplomatic entity could overrule the CIA and by proxy, the military, and when it back fires as it did, they get away with it and perhaps the more civilian airliners shoot downs occur, the more is the chance that Hitlery will become president in 2016!
