Bloggers beware. And those who use email, too. And those on Facebook. And Twitter. And anyone else using social media: Diss a Muslim and the Department of Justice will be on your case with the full weight of federal law.
The Obama administration, which is launching a series of Muslim Outreach Summits so that Islamists can tell federal officials how they better can serve that community, says it also is holding educational outreaches to let people know that Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal prosecution.

Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, is scheduled to appear at an event sponsored by the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee next week, and will provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media, according to a report in the Tullahoma News in Tennessee.
This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion, he said. This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.
He said everyone needs to understand that Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal jurisdiction.
After all, he said, while some Muslims may blow up buildings, hijack airliners and kill thousands, there are terrorists of other religions, too.

We are sadly is living is a very badly divided country.
The DOJ will simply be ignored thanks to the scandals.
Doubtful.
Or simply practice your Christian faith in secret.
You can’t SAY anything bad about Christians or Jews.
But it’s ok to belong to a group that OPENLY ADVOCATES CUTTING THEIR HEADS OFF!
Regarding the video, there was nothing untrue in there. All those guys had done was put together a number of vignettes about Mohammad as they appear in the hadiths and the koran.
Interesting that Obama knew all about that very obscure video long before the events at Benghazi. Does anyone have any idea what his Freeper name is?
This one?
I thought that civil rights applied to individuals - not to a "religion". I guess they now apply to queers/lesbians/pedophiles/murderers/rapists/mooslems/Jew haters/Christian haters, and other low-life scum that clings so well to the Leftists butt cheeks.
Nope. When your browser sees a < or a > in your reply, it thinks that's the beginning of an HTML tag and treats it accordingly.
To be able to use < and > we have to fool the browser by using character entities instead.
All entities start with an ampersand and end with a semicolon. In between are letters or numbers identifying which entity we want to use. In the case of < the letters are lt for less than. And for > the letters are gt for greater than. The entity for < is < and for > it is >
You might want to head over to the FR HTML sandbox where you can practice this type of stuff.
Groups favored by liberals have Constitutional rights protecting them from being offended. Didn’t you know?

>>My husband is an LCMS (Lutheran) pastor. The congregation wants to know his vision for the congregation. He cant quite figure out how to tell them that his vision is for the congregation to keep professing and proclaiming the truth even when the culture, country, and congregational members would rather be trying to attract the culture by the coolness of their coffee and childcare.
I know where he’s coming from. I’m the Lay Leader of a UMC church and every time we start trying to create a “vision”, the people start talking about child care, coffee, and decorations. I keep bringing them back to discipleship and they just shrug and say, “Oh yeah. We do that pretty good.”
No....we don’t. *sigh*.
You’re right about the visible church. It is an abomination and is not something that people would be willing to be martyred for.
We’re trying to establish a spiritual partnership with a Methodist church in Cuba. We can learn so much from people in the persecuted churches and I want to go visit them and bring one of them up to visit us so people can hear what discipleship really means.
How about I post lines form the koran, which call for murder, terror, beheadings, etc. etc. etc.?
At least kadaffy duck was carrying his own umbrella, unlike the marxist homo occupying the WH.
Nah. If it is true, it isn’t an insult. If he did worse, it isn’t an insult.
Is that good enough? I'll be home all day.
