“It is one thing to raise millions from grassroots activists or appear on record numbers of TV talk shows or give rhetorically charged speeches before adoring crowds – it is quite another to do the hard work of governing.”

It certainly doesn’t bother the Lefties at The Hill a bit that this perfectly describes Obama. Rush has elaborated on this theme in the past month, that Obama continues his constant campaigning and does no governing, so his fans don’t blame him for all the obvious failings of his administration.

Seems to have been written by someone whose ideal politician is someone who never worked a day in their life in the private sector.

What also comes to mind is the statement that they left the Republican party so extreme, that they couldn’t get anything done. I guess it’s not considered extreme when someone violates the U. S. Constitution as our President on down in the Democrat party is want to do these days.

Advocacy is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to politicians. What would Backman or Palin be if they didn’t advocate for policies they believed in? It’s startling to see a writer unable to grasp this concept. The writer actually thinks these two are evil for doing so. Nice job destroying yourself Mr. Fenn.

Are you always this obtuse, or are you just gifting us with something special here?

Bachman was not going anywhere, she just wanted to be a “Palin.”

NJ Whitman wanted to be “left wing Palin” but nobody bought her faux moderate BS.

Sure, we should stick with politicians like Obama who accomplished what exactly before he was elected?

I would like to have seen Obama go through the media assault that Sarah went through- and the liberal piling on including endless lawsuits.

Any conservative candidate has to walk through fire, not so for Democrats- if the dims are breathing they are considered brilliant, and they don’t have to have a record of actually doing anything.

Peter Fenn is a leftist hack... his job is to burry the knife deep in the back, then stomp on the body as it hits the ground. Flowery language you ask? I’m simply using their method of poetic style. Anyway, he’s lower than snail slime and not to be paid any mind.

Thank you for the Ping Buckeye Texan

Ping to Sarah's Awesome List, but not if you don't want to get your blood pressure up!

The Depths of My Hatred for these people truly knows no bounds.

Sarah and Michele are G-dly Women and they justly deserve to sit back watch us stupidly destroy ourselves and laugh.

People like Palin and Bachmann are the reason I still marginally consider myself a Republican.

Once the GOP successfully pushes them out, I’m out too.

IIRC, this guy is a ‘Rat hack.

Extolling Ms. “What difference does it make?” does not make a compelling or credible analysis.

Hillary Clinton should be indicted for war crimes. She should be brought up in a criminal tribunal and put on the stand. http://www.whale.to/b/hilary_h.html

Jesus Christ was also attacked and crucified, Satan is here and constantly attacking the best among us.

Both of these ladies are excellent defenders of the US Constitution. Michelle served several terms representing her state. Her plans may include running for President next year. It takes time and planning to mount a Presidential campaign. She handled herself and ran for President in the last election.

Do you notice those accusing others of HATE are indeed practicing HATE early, and dirty, ongoing. It is the liberal way. Progressive Liberals Attack and tear down with lies, false accusations, twisting truth and presenting it as fact. The press apparently are essentially in the pocket of all things liberal. We have moved so far away from the Constitution as to be accepting of the malarkey saying it is old and needs to be thrown out. Many believe the ten Commandments of God are the same.

God help us. We are digging our own grave by listening to and believeing nonsense about good people. If the opponents can get us to turn away from our strongest and best candidates ... we are indeed lost and will be complicit in the destruction and fall of the greations nation on earth.

Many nations before us have fallen through moving away from what made them great. Satan is always whispering in the ears of any willing to listen.

This explains a lot:

Peter H. Fenn (born December 12, 1947) is a Democratic political strategist, consultant, television commentator and owner of Fenn Communications Group, a political and public affairs media firm based in Washington, DC in the United States. The firm has worked in over 300 campaigns, from presidential to mayoral...

-—snip-—

In 1996 and 1998, Fenn and his firm (then Fenn-King-Murphy-Putnam Communications) were chosen as the lead media consultants for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, producing ads that helped win back seats for the Democrats. In campaign 2000, Fenn served as a surrogate spokesperson on cable news programs for Gore for President. He performed the same role in 2004 for the Kerry for President campaign and in 2008 for Obama for President.

Prior to forming the firm, Fenn was the first Executive Director of Democrats for the 80’s, a political action committee founded by Pamela Harriman and then-Governor Bill Clinton. Fenn also served on the staff of the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Washington Chief of Staff for Senator Frank Church. In 1983, Fenn aided in the founding and was the first Executive Director of the Center for Responsive Politics.[3]

Fenn has consulted overseas for the Agency for International Development and the National Endowment for Democracy. He produced television programs in Russia, Bosnia, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, and consulted for political parties and candidates in such countries as South Africa, Mozambique, Romania, Latvia, Colombia, Northern Ireland and Hungary.

-—snip-—

Fenn was a rotating guest on Tucker, along with political analyst Pat Buchanan, until the show’s end in March 2008. He also served as a guest host on CNN’s Crossfire and The Spin Room, as well as MSNBC’s Equal Time. Fenn appears frequently as a TV commentator on the major networks and on cable news shows.

Palin helped create a movement, and then came to the continental United States to help lead it and take it to victory after victory, as she and her people (like Cruz) are poised to take us to new levels of success in 2014.

Her role in 80 to 90 races since December 2008 and her courage and inspiration as a national conservative figure, including the dark times when she was alone but fierce and charging the enemy walls (and surviving), like late 2008 and early 2009, not only inspired the rank and file conservatives but could be seen to rub off on other politicians like Perry and DeMint as they grew bolder and more outspoken in 2009.

The left wishes that Governor Palin had quit, or at least stayed out of the lower 48 by remaining in Alaska.

Bachmann doesn't have anything to apologize for. Eight years in Washington is enough for anybody. There are many people in Congress who should take her example to heart.

I guess I shouldn't be puzzled by the venom, but if people Fenn clearly dislikes so much leave politics, shouldn't it make him happy? Why give the knife a few more twists? Is that what people get into political journalism to do?
