Monsanto is hosting a "Bee Summit." Bayer AG is breaking ground on a "Bee Care Center." And Sygenta AG is funding grants for research into the accelerating demise of honeybees in the United States, where the insects pollinate fruits and vegetables that make up roughly a quarter of the American diet.
The agrichemical companies are taking these initiatives at a time when their best-selling pesticides are under fire from environmental and food activists who say the chemicals are killing off millions of bees.

Die-offs of bee populations have accelerated over the last few years to a rate the U.S. government calls unsustainable. Honeybees pollinate plants that produce roughly 25 percent of the foods Americans consume, including apples, almonds, watermelons and beans, according to government reports.

I sent this to my local liberal rag newspaper to rub Obama in their face:
April 1, 2013) The Monsanto Protection Act, which President Obama signed into law this week, will strip judges of their constitutional mandate to protect consumer rights and the environment, while opening up the floodgates for the planting of new untested genetically engineered crops, endangering farmers, consumers and the environment. Monsanto has modified (GMO) their seed corn which makes it impossible for farmers to recycle the seed as they did in the “old days”. Now they must purchase each year from Monsanto. You can get a better understanding by looking at the Act.

Did you ever consider that Monsanto GMF and Bayer pesticides are killing the bees? Bee populations are declining with increased use of those products. Obesity and heart disease are up with the rise in sugar consumption.
Correlation does not mean causality, but you need to do some research to rule out causality.
There is no "inoculation" available for mites. There are however, treatments. But please don't ask what those are ...it's a long list, with some history of mites developing resistance to one first widely used for many years after (varroa) mites first became a problem in the U.S. (mid 1980's), and some evidence of treatments negatively effecting queens and brood, etc.
Frankly, I don't know of any one repository of information concerning the issue. There are pros and cons with most any methods. Costs, too.

That would seem to be the case as they are starting to get certain Gubmint lackeys to round up (no pun intended) Monsanto's competition so they can patent and market a Round Up resistant honey bee.

So while technology giants like Bayer and Monsanto employ their massive R&D facilities to develop a solution for the destruction caused by this mite, the FR alarmist crowd can join their friends in the EU in blaming companies and banning products that have nothing to do with the problem. Let's continue to show the world why a dunce like Obama can be elected to two terms.

Why a large corporation like Monsanto is considered automatically less evil than say a the government or a union is beyond me. All groups of people can behave in a good way or a bad way. A government official grubbing for more tax dollars is no worse than a manager grubbing for a bonus when the outcome of either is a detriment to society.
Anyone who thinks Monsanto invented hybridized corn would have to be pretty clueless.
That is term that the keepers used for the treatments that they applied.
I admit to knowing very little about bees, in my area I have noticed no less bees, seems like more to me the last couple of years. A man down the road from me is having problems with bees, he does not garden or have anything to attract bees as far as I can tell. Yet the neighbor is overrun with bees and more moving in all the time. Hives of bees all around his house are driving him nuts.
I read an article about the loss of bees and how beekeepers would remove bees for free to gain new bees. The neighbor checked into that and found no one willing to help him with his bee problem/removal unless he paid them a pretty hefty amount.
The Government and Monsanto is the same thing. The FDA does not care about health.
