As concerns about rising Islamophobia in Britain grew amid anti-Muslim protests and attacks targeting mosques, authorities made a 10th arrest in last week's knifing death of a British soldier.
Armed police arrested a 50-year-old man on a street in the town of Welling in southeastern England.
The man's connection to the case was unclear, but like the other nine suspects, he was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. Three of those arrested are still in custody, including the two men who allegedly hacked to death British soldier Lee Rigby. Two were released without charge, and five were released on bail.
Police haven't said how anyone they've arrested could be tied to killing, and they've been tight-lipped about the attackers' identities and their motives. But a video recording of one of the suspected attackers claiming the soldier's death was revenge for the deaths of Muslims worldwide has fueled long-simmering tensions.

Hope their fears are well founded. For a change...

The two CNN authors can shove their sniveling indignation up their asses.

Again, Muslims wouldn’t fear a backlash if they would stop murdering people and blowing things up in the name of their evil religion.
Those football hooligans might find a more useful pastime than beating up on each other.
The hacking of the soldier was just another routine case of workplace violence. Don’t know why the Brits have the knickers in a pinch.
Apparently, if the Muslims perpetrate crimes like this, they don’t fear the backlash enough.
Former head of MI5 wants everyone in UK to spy on their neighbors to find "whether its Muslim or anywhere else, that people are becoming extremists and spouting hate phrases.
Duhhhhhhhhh

five were released on bail.

Theyre terrorists arrested and charged with terrorism
and they make BAIL ???
BTW if it was the victimized fightinhg back that Moslem mosque is a good start but bad aiming...
if it was the Islamists themselves then I hope someone friendly saw them ...
The British government needs to protect the victims and not the perps...
This is like an abused wife with broken bones and a bloody nose being ignored by the police while the abusive husband is “protected”...
any connection with AQ? part of the network? beginning of the next phase of terrorism?
I keep hearing the footy lads (soccer thugs) called “islamophobic” by their government and media. The soccer thugs don’t mind coming out in the street to confront these islamofascist, as they cower behind police protection, so it doesn’t look like the soccer thugs are in any way fearful of Islam.
The police and media on the other hand are terrified of Islam, and this can be seen in their methods of reporting as they go out of their way to not offend the peaceful religion of the constantly offended.
The police have allowed Muslim pedophile gangs to operate freely out of fear of being called a racist.
Yet the police and media call everyone else islamophobes...Oh the IRONY!
Backlash may start to put a stop to this. Maybe they will start reining in “their own”.
Until the British soldiers take an axe and chop the head off a few Muslims...there hasn’t been a backlash.
Or end the dole and kick out all immigrant non citizen muslims. How hard is that?
Along the same lines, isn’t it horrible that Jews think poorly of Nazis? I mean, most Nazis didn’t actually kill anyone. Nazism was a political philosophy of peace.
There is no backlash to speak of.
Muslims fear a backlash? Who’s kidding who? This so-called “fear” didn’t stop them after 911 or any other terrorist attack, for that matter. The entire Islamic culture is based on violence and contempt for any non-muslim.
