Too many people who lean left would rather crack nasty jokes than actually be liberal and listen to other views.
Why is it that liberals feel no qualms about being rude? Far too many people who are perfectly polite and courteous, otherwise, think nothing of insulting you for not sharing their political opinions. They look at us with disdain, thinking we're unenlightened conservatives and never hesitating to say so.
As the lone conservative at the tennis courts, I cringe at the Sarah Palin jokes and the jabs at Mormons. When news came on 9/11 that planes had struck the World Trade Center, my partner commented that Bush would use it as an excuse to increase military spending. Bush, of course, is dumb – as are all Republicans, and we're epitomized by Dan Quayle, whose spelling of "potatoe" has entered historical canon. (Never mind Obama's telling us there are 57 states, or having a meltdown without a teleprompter) And now it's Marco Rubio, caught drinking water. "Next time he'll forget to zip his fly," joked one of the guys. Mitt Romney changes his mind more often than he changes his underwear. Reagan had Alzheimer's when he made B movies, and Bonzo had to feed him his lines. And would you believe, from a guy with a pathetic serve, this comment about the Clarence Thomas, justice of the supreme court: send him back to the plantation.
Liberals have no shame. A dinner guest in our home stood up at the table, clinked his wine glass and said, "It shows how stupid the American people are, they voted for Bush twice." He turned to me, smirking, and said, "I know you voted for him." A biochemist who had been too busy learning liberal doctrine instead of the basic manners of being a guest....

I have never found a liberal who can defend their ideology without being rude. But these very liberals will be outraged if a Conservative is even slightly rude.
Being a liberal is like being a Muslim. No one with an ounce of common sense and decency buys their crap. Therefore, lashing out is a norm for both.

Liberals, in general, lack good character in almost every area:
personal charity (they insist that you give, but they don’t), honesty, morality, lying, cheating, lack of civility. And why not? Most rejecting all religious and moral standards, believe anything they do is good because they are morally superior to we conservatives.
Their arrogance is no less than that of the Pharisees of Jesus day, because their liberalism/progressivism is in reality to them their religion, even though it has no god or savior. They are their own saviors - they need no other. They are every bit as self-righteous as the Pharisees, looking down on others with contempt.
In the next life, they will receive their due judgment.

If you really want to see a lib get angry...just tell them that the only reason they exist at all in the US is because Christians are more gracious hosts than Muslims....you can get them to twitch if you practice your delivery ahead of time and can deliver the line in a matter of fact manner.

While avoiding politics at the local watering hole, some topic came up, and before I knew it, 90% of the patrons were spouting things against Obama that I have never heard any of them say in 5 years.
the other 10% just smiled and shut up, like conservatives usually do.
It was quite enlightening and exhilarating
Mental illness, lack of love from parents... given ‘material things’ instead, in denial re: communism, utopia. They’ve never been told NO and why. A total lack of common sense and critical thinking. They only see now, not the future. They, as Thatcher said, think they’ll never run out of other peoples money.
Since their life is a shambles, they want to run yours: To tell you you’re lower to make themselves feel superior and ‘bright’. It’s self-hate taken out on others.
I call for an immersion program. Drop them across the country with no cell phone, IPad or dough. Let them work for a living and figure it out... from the bottom up.
Then again, it’s nothing a good beating wouldn’t help... since they like being victims. I find that months in a body cast helps you sort out priorities and re-think a lot of things.
They see things differently because they have been programmed to not think about the lies they are being fed and to just accept them as truth.
I use to think they thought they were morally superior, but I don’t think so today.
They think they are intellectually superior, they don’t really care about morals. To them, the ends justify the means.
They are negative, dark, and favor death over life in abortion and the elderly if they are inconvenient. Facts, truth and reality are just tools to be used when it advances their cause, or can be twisted to advance their cause,, but not adhered to as a principle.
I would say they are technically AMORAL, which is IMORAL in application.
And transparency.
And jobs.
And plenty of green energy (via money laundering).
Don’t forget the hope and change.
Or, you can tell them that Christians don’t kill homosexuals but muslims will.

Miserable people who feel better by inflicting misery on life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. A religion built on lies.
I avoid liberals when possible. But when it isn’t and they get stupid and rude I ask, “Does your mother know you talk that way?” “Or is she a arrogant a.. too?”

A dinner guest who acted that way to me on my personal property would not be invited back. Most likely, he would not even have been invited in the first place.
They think that being rude is a means of “speaking truth to power”. Really. Also, they tend to see manners as arbitrary constructs of our racist, sexist, homophobic, patriarchal society. Really.
It’s a dodge to keep from having to defend their position on the merits. Plus, if they demonize conservatives and conservatism effectively it keeps the undecideds in the middle from listening to those on the right.
