Let me see, who did the most for the township?
A person who risked life and or limb, or a person who risked not winning a singing contest? Boy, that is a tough one. /s
Okay, so they spent $31,000 on the American Idol homecoming. Seems to me that should only have been spent if it was going to bring in more than that amount in city revenue. If not, then it should not have been done in the first place.
And if it did bring in more than that, then throw the Memorial Day parade and honor those who did risk life and or limb.
This nation has it’s priorities ass backwards.
American Idol is the franchise making money here. If they want to hype their show, let them pick up the tab. Heck a couple of commercials ought to do it.
Pea brains. If that young lady had any sense at all; she would have refused.
In Beverly, “American Idols” appear to be more important and more appreciated than those who give their lives for America. What a sewer.
Jonny to ping the idol watchers.
This is even sadder if you know how insincere this girl was the whole idol season. Sheesh. They may have made it on tv but the town turned away from those who served it.
Maybe her desire to seek the camera with her glossy smile every second is homegrown, then.
Dislike.

Wait, this is the state that gave us Ted Kennedy for over 50 years, reelected him even after he killed Mary-Jo? And this is surprising?
This young lady had no sense at all. She sought out the camera every second, switching her huge smile and pageanty singing to face whichever one was on.
She does not have the wisdom or maturity or humility to refuse the honor; in fact she seemed to think it her due at the time.
top three? so she was the second loser, right? Sheesh, make her honorary grand marshal of the Memorial Day parade. That should be more than enough.
Gave life
Remember that we are living in the “new”, multicultural America, where the traditional values that made this country great, are slowly and intentionally erased.
Don’t forget that the new “cultures” that have been added to this country in the past 50 years do not know nor care about America’s traditional values.
/sarc . . . yea, but when did Memorial Day ever win a popularity contest . . . looks like the good folks of Beverly voted the holiday off of their island.
or to paraphrase the late John Lennon:
“American Idol is more popular than Memorial Day.”
Most of Massachusetts is a disgrace.
Is the Annual Golden Calf Dance still scheduled?
We are at the Bread and Circuses point in our Countries history. As long as we don’t outsource our military to barbarians we might last a little while longer.
Sigh! I miss America.
I hope her teeth fall out and she gets a massive wart on the end of her nose.
It’s Assachusetts, folks...
Even after the marathon bombing the idiots in Massatushitts still don’t get it!
