It appears that you are typing on a tablet or smart phone. Those tiny virtual keyboards are a nuisance.
But I agree with EVERYTHING you said!
I was a drug addict, but Christ set me free! I no longer need to wallow in that sinful existence. Christ even removed the desire to do drugs.
I submit that addiction to drugs is even stronger than sexual inclinations.

Sadly no- I’m typing on a full fledged keyboard- my typign is horrible, I apologize
I too was addicted to drugs- (As well aqs to cigarettes which was the hardest drug of all for me to be able to stop)- First to illegal drugs, then to legal one- hydrocodone by perscription- Quitting the drugs was them ost horrible hting ever- I only just quit smoking a year and a half ago and still to this day I crave it- So I’m in compelte agreement with you abotu the power of drugs-
When I quit them with Christ’s help- He finally convinced me I was NOT goign to die going htrough withdrawals, and that I simply needed to take it one minute at a time i nthe beginning, then one hour then one day, one week etc- for every hour that went by I was able to hold onto the victories I had gained by beign druig free for hte previosu hours and it was enough for me to say “Nope- not gonna waste thsoe hard won hours- Gonna stick with it”
Alcohopl was another issue for me- but thankfully God made it impossible for me to drink any longer due to health and the pain it caused-
As someone put it- We are not slaves to our desires- we do have hte pwoer through Christ to overcome sin- but it’s just that some are not willing to submit thinkign that they can’t overcoem the lusts and desires- but the fact is millions upon millions of ex-drug addicts alcoholics can attest to the fact that it’s not goign to kill us to obey God and He WILL see us through- If we allow Him to
