For FReepers that care about murder victims and their families and the injustice(s) that go on within our legal system and now with our piece of crap governor getting involved in the last hour. This is hard to listen to in many parts, but this man's story deserves to be heard. His daughter and the other victims deserve to be remembered.
On Thursday May 23rd, 2013, Denver radio show host Michael Brown (Heckuva Job Brownie of Katrina) talked with Dennis O'Connor. In 1993, his daughter, Colleen Rose O'Connor, was murdered along with three other employees of Chuck E. Cheese in Aurora, Colorado. One other man was shot and lived (I'll post a related thread below and you can see his interview posted on that thread). The murderer, Nathan Dunlap, was scheduled for execution recently...20 years after the murder. . Our "wonderful" Governor Hickenlooper granted this man a reprieve this week. A monster that has shown absolutely no remorse.
Mr. O'Connor describes the pain of living with this. How his daughter, only 17, begged for her life and was shown no mercy and Dunlap went on to say that killing these people was better than sex. Mr. O'Connor talks about how Hickenlooper listened to family members and showed absolutely no compassion toward them.
Mr. O'Connor said that he confronted Hickenlooper about listening to an Archbishop over the death penalty, and Mr. O'Connor through it back at Hickenlooper if he was going to listen to the Archbishop over abortion.
Mr. O'Connor is an amazing man having to live with a terrible reality. I hope these family members get on more shows and expose what has been done here.
Interview extends into Michael Brown's third hour--listen here

Why does the Chuck E. Cheese establishments always seem to attract the wrong crowd. The one and only time I have been in one was about 25 or more years ago and it was fine.

Never maybe in the history of Colorado has a staffer a staffer played such an outsized factor in determining the outcome of a major issue in the way Roxanne White, Governor Hickenloopers Chief of Staff, apparently drove the outcome of the half-assed commutation of Nathan Dunlap.
Now Roxanne White gets to eat cake.
Listen to this heartbreaking interview with Dennis OConnor, the father of Colleen OConnor, with Michael Brown on 630KHOW yesterday, where he describes his interactions with the governor and the role Roxanne White played in helping save mass murderer Nathan Dunlaps life.
As we reported prior to the Dunlap decision, Roxanne White was threatening to resign if Hickenlooper didnt save Dunlaps life. Its a sad day in Colorado when the governor takes his lead from his staffer, rather than the victims families.
Bet he thought the Packer story was something to wrap himself around and get inside of.
Youtube has lots of vids under “Chuck E. Cheese Brawl”.

Colorado, the next England. Can’t go about protecting the citizens over the criminal. That would be unfair and against all human and civil rights. Thing is; what can the ordinary citizen do about it? Nothing but bear it.
Our "wonderful" Governor Hickenlooper granted this man a reprieve this week. A monster that has shown absolutely no remorse.
Representatives of the Democratic [sic] party always side with criminals, who do their worst to reelect them.
Those who are kind to the cruel inevitably become cruel to the kind.
No truer words spoken.
We are currently seeing those words played out on a daily basis.
Thugs perform violence and acts of intimidation against innocents with impunity, while traditional freedom loving American citizens are cast as potential domestic terrorists if they raise their voices in protest
I feel much the same way about so much of what is happening.
This is a very unpopular decision here in Colorado that Hickenlooper has made as is gun control. I know they do what they damn well please, but it's important that this man/father of the victim went on Michael Brown's show and told his story. It's important to publicize what is going on here. It's one way to fight back. I appreciate the majority of sheriffs that are fighting back here on gun control. Also there's a recall effort going on with John Morse out of Co Spgs.
I don't know who will be our next governor. Tom Tancredo announced this week that he's back in it. I like him and I'll support him if he's the man. I know he's not perfect, but the crap that is happening in Colorado today would not be going on had he been elected in 2010.
I don't know what I can do so much of the time, but maybe it helps a tiny bit to spread the word. To ridicule these people. To shine a light on them.
That guy worked at Chuck E Cheese looking like that?! My kid would have run away crying, I might have too!
chicken pooper is the obama of commierado. this bastard is running for president and has his head so far up bloomburgs ass he can’t see the sun.
my stae continues it downward path toward being the sodom and gommorah of the rockies.
No need to wait for 2014. Hickenlooper needs to be recalled now.
