In case you missed it, Allahpundit had President Obamas number on the recycled rehash that was his big speech yesterday which was epic only in the sense that it was an egregious nothingburger of bromides about what were told are President Foreign Policys miraculous yet still oddly unmaterialized abilities to move us drastically closer to world peace. But, if we could count on anybody to still be gushing about it more than six hours later, we know where to look. I have to give the president some credit: It was of course nothing doing to dissuade conservatives from the robust pursuit of Scandalmania and the accompanying questions and criticisms, but it was an effective squirrel in at least momentarily getting back in these guys well-sung and complementary graces:

They always say this...I’ve lost count on how many “Gettysburg addresses’ the media has claimed for this moron. The one who can’t even salute a Marine on Memorial weekend. ugh.

MSNBC read verbatum the talking points sent to their on air shills, as the good little propagandists they are. MSNBC is a fifth column going undetected by the average fool in America.
Yeah....
It was as though some huge force were pressing down upon you something that penetrated inside your skull, battering against your brain, frightening you out of your beliefs, persuading you, almost, to deny the evidence of your senses. In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality, was tacitly denied by their philosophy. The heresy of heresies was common sense. And what was terrifying was not that they would kill you for thinking otherwise, but that they might be right. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? Or that the force of gravity works? Or that the past is unchangeable? If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable what then?
