Your knowledge of what happens in your own country combined with a complete ignorance of the United States is downright pathetic.
The facts are this: There are more handgun murders per capita in the UK than there are in the United States.
That's fact #1.
Fact #2: There are more murders per capita in the UK than in the United States. Your countrymen have demonstrated quite a proficiency in killing their fellow Brit's using hammers, axes, clubs, kitchen knives and other instruments as the weapon of choice instead of using a gun.
Fact #3: There are also more violent crimes such as burglaries, rapes, street muggings, etc.. per capita in the UK than in the United States.
Fact #4: The United States of America ranks somewhere around 197 on the list of countries with the most violence. The UK is easily in the top 100. (That according to a U.N. Statistic.)
All of the above FACTS have been demonstrated time and again here on this forum.
But hey, if you want to worship the idol of UK disinformation known as Piers Morgan - you go right on ahead.
Gun/handgun murders:
UK:900 (15 per million)
US:15000 (50 per million)
US gun murder rate is 3.33 times higher.
Murder rate (per 100000):
UK: 1.2
US: 4.8
US murder rate is FOUR times higher.
Source? I've seen the opposite.
1—You said the UK dosent have guns. I have pointed out many times on FR that the UK has 2.3m legal guns. You are talking to the owner of two of them.
2—I have pointed out that the UK has crimes classed as violent which are not in the US and other countries. That makes the UK look much more ‘violent’ than it actually is. Its a crime of violence against the person in the UK to take a crew of a ship out in weather which is dangerous to their wellbeing. Think I am kidding, go check.
Are we more violent than we were?. Yes. But the UK is still a safe country, and not a violent country overall.
3—The biggest violent crime in the UK is burglary. Murder is still pretty rare. Gun crime and gun murder are very low (900 deaths in a country of 60 million).
4-’There are also more violent crimes such as burglaries, rapes, street muggings, etc.. per capita in the UK than in the United States.’
Yet a—the biggest violent crime in the UK is against property, in the US its against people and b—the US rate of rape is still slightly higher than in the UK. Although both are pretty similar.
Also, the crime rate for violence and overall is falling in the UK. It was highest in the last 15 yrs. Gun crime and murders are down, rape is down, even assault is starting to drop.
5—’Fact #4:’
You honestly think the UK is twice as violent as the US?. Do you think the UK is a more violent country than the US?.
6-Are you denying the United States is a violent, if not very violent country?.
7—The only things I’d do with Morgan would be to beat him up and then piss on him. A vile piece of excrement whom I am genuinely sorry you and all Americans have to put up with.
Kick the scum out.
England is not his country, and you’re right.
Violence is awful in England, you can’t even go for a drink without seeing a fight or something to do with violence.
Bottles in peoples faces, knives and yes guns in the cities and people can’t defend themselves because the bleeding hearts come out to defend them.
BTW I am form there Manchester and from the streets not some country little town up in Scotland
agreed on all your points and views and yes the UK is much more violent.
Either a bunch of sissies or thugs on the streets
