'The killers who executed a soldier on a London street were yesterday condemned by Muslim groups for their 'truly barbaric act'.
The Muslim Council of Britain said the killers use of 'Islamic slogans' indicated they were motivated by their faith.
A statement from the council said: 'This is a truly barbaric act that has no basis in Islam and we condemn this unreservedly. Our thoughts are with the victim and his family.
'We understand the victim is a serving member of the Armed Forces. Muslims have long served in this countrys Armed Forces, proudly and with honour.
'This attack on a member of the Armed Forces is dishonourable, and no cause justifies this murder.'
The group called for vigilance and solidarity between 'all our communities, Muslim and non-Muslim', and for police to 'calm tensions'.
Akbar Khan from Building Bridges said : 'We totally condemn the killing of an innocent person in Woolwich.
'And we also condemn all forms of extremism wherever they are.
'The thoughts of the Muslim community are with the family of the man who lost his life, and we pray for him.'
Mohammed Shafiq from the Ramadhan Foundation said yesterday: 'I wish to condemn the evil and barbaric crime carried out in Woolwich.
'Our immediate thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims. From whatever angle you see the attack, it was at every level evil.
'We must allow the police to gather all the facts before unnecessary speculation and wait for the facts before determining its impact on our country.
'But what happens in the days to come, London and our nation will come together and will not be divided. The terrorists will never win and succeed in their evil plans.'

Quran (8:12):
“I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”
So what other forms of "extremism" was he referring to? IMO it was a thinly veiled reference to the war against terrorists and terrorism by America and Britain. What else?
Islam spawns terrorism and terrorists. There is no way to dispute that.
All muslims belong in the Middle East where they can worship their meteorite chip and live under their murderous sharia law. Ship them ALL back home.
Unfortunately, in this case that may not have helped. The murderers drove their car onto the sidewalk, running over the soldier and injuring him, before jumping out to attack.
exactly. What is the opinion of the every day Muslim? Where are their voices?Silence may not be consent, but it only seems like the leadership has an opinion and the rest are too afraid to speak out. It's been like this since 9-11
The UK needs the equivalent of the Indian THUGEE cult to take care of this infestation one muzzie at a time ...
And one liar of a politician will deplore another politician’s lies - some may be sincere, but it is to the advantage of those want jihad to join the chorus and help stave off the heat.
Long time since I read about them. That would work, though!
Your knowledge of what happens in your own country combined with a complete ignorance of the United States is downright pathetic.
The facts are this: There are more handgun murders per capita in the UK than there are in the United States.
That's fact #1.
Fact #2: There are more murders per capita in the UK than in the United States. Your countrymen have demonstrated quite a proficiency in killing their fellow Brit's using hammers, axes, clubs, kitchen knives and other instruments as the weapon of choice instead of using a gun.
Fact #3: There are also more violent crimes such as burglaries, rapes, street muggings, etc.. per capita in the UK than in the United States.
Fact #4: The United States of America ranks somewhere around 197 on the list of countries with the most violence. The UK is easily in the top 100. (That according to a U.N. Statistic.)
All of the above FACTS have been demonstrated time and again here on this forum.
But hey, if you want to worship the idol of UK disinformation known as Piers Morgan - you go right on ahead.
The EDL would never allow Muslims to march with them.
Gun/handgun murders:
UK:900 (15 per million)
US:15000 (50 per million)
US gun murder rate is 3.33 times higher.
Murder rate (per 100000):
UK: 1.2
US: 4.8
US murder rate is FOUR times higher.
Source? I've seen the opposite.
1—You said the UK dosent have guns. I have pointed out many times on FR that the UK has 2.3m legal guns. You are talking to the owner of two of them.
2—I have pointed out that the UK has crimes classed as violent which are not in the US and other countries. That makes the UK look much more ‘violent’ than it actually is. Its a crime of violence against the person in the UK to take a crew of a ship out in weather which is dangerous to their wellbeing. Think I am kidding, go check.
Are we more violent than we were?. Yes. But the UK is still a safe country, and not a violent country overall.
3—The biggest violent crime in the UK is burglary. Murder is still pretty rare. Gun crime and gun murder are very low (900 deaths in a country of 60 million).
4-’There are also more violent crimes such as burglaries, rapes, street muggings, etc.. per capita in the UK than in the United States.’
Yet a—the biggest violent crime in the UK is against property, in the US its against people and b—the US rate of rape is still slightly higher than in the UK. Although both are pretty similar.
Also, the crime rate for violence and overall is falling in the UK. It was highest in the last 15 yrs. Gun crime and murders are down, rape is down, even assault is starting to drop.
5—’Fact #4:’
You honestly think the UK is twice as violent as the US?. Do you think the UK is a more violent country than the US?.
6-Are you denying the United States is a violent, if not very violent country?.
7—The only things I’d do with Morgan would be to beat him up and then piss on him. A vile piece of excrement whom I am genuinely sorry you and all Americans have to put up with.
Kick the scum out.
anyone thinking they really are sorry must be insane.
These people have got bad attention and now they are in damage control but behind the scenes they still tell their muslims how the UK will be taken over.
Infact that is it.
They want the UK to be sharia law and this is not good for them
it’s the usual crap of we’re sorry no place, this is not islam and then behind the scenes they call death to non muslims.
They might still be able to fool some in the Uk but hopefully not everyone here
The muzzies’ running over the British soldier is usually left out of news accounts, because that would make them look even more like the filthy Islamic cowards they are.
The yellow b@stards apparently thought it necessary to soften him up first, before attacking him with meat cleavers & knives.
Nuke Makkah NOW!
England is not his country, and you’re right.
Violence is awful in England, you can’t even go for a drink without seeing a fight or something to do with violence.
Bottles in peoples faces, knives and yes guns in the cities and people can’t defend themselves because the bleeding hearts come out to defend them.
BTW I am form there Manchester and from the streets not some country little town up in Scotland
agree , even withmeat cleavers in their hands and there are two of them they still can’t face a soldier in the face man to man.
They had to use the car to mow him down first and make sure he;s down and ten commit this act in the name of Islam and guess what.
Yes there are people in the UK who are now saying this is not terrorism, or thankfully they were not Pakistani’s[PAKI’S] or just look at those evil racist protesting this called the EDL.
Disgusting vile bleeding hearts who can’t face the real problems due to their white guilt but of course me saying that must mean I;m racist too ARF
Make ‘em say it in Arabic. What they say in English is meaningless.
Make sure you have some non-Moslem Arabic translators handy, though, ‘cause I bet their “condemnation” will be waaaay different.
Can’t say I envy anyone who lives in UK, not even the Royal Family. I have far more gun rights here in America than any of them.
