'The killers who executed a soldier on a London street were yesterday condemned by Muslim groups for their 'truly barbaric act'.
The Muslim Council of Britain said the killers’ use of 'Islamic slogans' indicated they were motivated by their faith.
A statement from the council said: 'This is a truly barbaric act that has no basis in Islam and we condemn this unreservedly. Our thoughts are with the victim and his family.
'We understand the victim is a serving member of the Armed Forces. Muslims have long served in this country’s Armed Forces, proudly and with honour.
'This attack on a member of the Armed Forces is dishonourable, and no cause justifies this murder.'
The group called for vigilance and solidarity between 'all our communities, Muslim and non-Muslim', and for police to 'calm tensions'.
Akbar Khan from Building Bridges said : 'We totally condemn the killing of an innocent person in Woolwich.
'And we also condemn all forms of extremism wherever they are.
'The thoughts of the Muslim community are with the family of the man who lost his life, and we pray for him.'
Mohammed Shafiq from the Ramadhan Foundation said yesterday: 'I wish to condemn the evil and barbaric crime carried out in Woolwich.
'Our immediate thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims. From whatever angle you see the attack, it was at every level evil.
'We must allow the police to gather all the facts before unnecessary speculation and wait for the facts before determining its impact on our country.
'But what happens in the days to come, London and our nation will come together and will not be divided. The terrorists will never win and succeed in their evil plans.'

Murders or deaths by handgun since the people here, unlike the sissified UK, have the right to use a handgun in self defense and do so? What we call self defense you pussies call murder.
Handguns are mostly illegal (some exceptions) on the UK mainland, but are perfectly legal in NI. As is concealed carry in NI. NI has the best gun laws in the UK.
Handguns licences in the UK mainland are allowed, but are a minority (just 546 in Scotland for example). Concealed carry IS allowed, but with a permit and usually only for exceptional circumstances.
Most of the 2.3m UK weapons are rifles and shotguns. Which is historically what most UK arms have been (handgun ownership has always been of a minority). I own one rifle and one shotgun, for which I have a licence.
UK guns do not have to comply only with hunting laws, as long as you have a licence and keep the guns in a secure cabinet, you are ok. Many UK gun owners (as I do) use them on shooting ranges (I shoot at two local ranges and am member of three Ayrshire gun clubs).

Did this attack occur in NI? Then why would you claim handguns are legal in the UK in relation to the attack when handguns are not allowed in that part of England? Just pure bullsnot propaganda by a lefty.

None say “As British Citizens this is an affront to our country’s culture”.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever read about a Muslim group condemning a terror attack, ever. I think they are because people have reached the tipping point. They saw the EDL taking to the streets and freaked.
Hold on, why so nasty?.

For someone who is supposed to be in Scotland , not England which is not his country then he likes to post at 3 in the morning UK time so he either works nights, which I doubt as he;s on here during the day American time or he;s an old timer who is retired and has to post because he[s running off the bathroom every 4 minutes or he;s just a troll .
