Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. said in a television interview Wednesday night that he agrees with the views of an anti-federal government group that recently gave him an award.
During a interview on a range of topics with WISN-TV (Channel 12), Clarke was questioned about being named "sheriff of the year" by the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association and an image of Journal Sentinel columnist Daniel Bice's recent article about the award flashed in the background.
Bice first reported that the association is the brainchild of Richard Mack, a former Arizona lawman who believes a sheriff's primary duty is to protect local citizens from the federal government.

It’s very difficult to step outside normalcy bias and open eyes to exactly what the government is capable of doing in order to further their agenda. They will use any means necessary. I think people are afraid to accept that.

Bice observed that Mack wrote on his personal website: "The greatest threat we face today is not terrorists; it is our own federal government."
When Clarke was asked by WISN if he agreed with Mack's statement, he said, "I could make the case."

I sincerely doubt they are “anti federal government”. Just because we believe the fedguv should be constrained by Art I Sec 8 doesn’t mean we think it shouldn’t exist.

Good point. The Federal Gov't is not a threat when it is operating squarely within the bounds of the US constitution.

... and when they go outside those Constitutional bounds, they are indeed a greater threat than terrorists.

The factions of Leftism that have penetrated government and media are indeed a threat to our Constitutional Liberty.

Obvious political license in play. But it doesn’t hurt to point that out.
The Leftists’ march towards Marxism has intentionally or otherwise permitted the terrorism inflicted on US interests, the Country, and its citizens. Often policy driven, a consequence of legislators, which in turn the byproduct of Leftwing media influence.

Bee stings, bathtubs, swimming pools, and emergency room doctors each kill more people annually than terrorists and/or mass shooters. But you can’t trick people into giving up their liberty and money by hyping up the dangers of honey bees.

I sincerely doubt they are anti federal government.
What a strange time we live in when those who support a "Constitutional government" are deemed "anti-federal government". Does that mean that those who support the federal government are therefore "anti-consititution"? Makes my head spin...
