Commanders have advised troops not to wear uniform travelling to and from work or outside bases following the brutal killing of a member of the military close to Woolwich barracks.
Defence sources said the order had been given that uniform should not be worn by those travelling alone, or on public transport as a "common sense precaution" immediately after the killing.

They behaved as the liberals have trained them to behave. They waited for the government to come and help them.
If this happened in North Carolina, the cops would be late to the citizens response on the street. The attackers would be dead.
Sadly, I must disagree. Western men of today are much like a herd of wildebeests. When one or two predators attack a wildebeest herd, the herd could easy charge the predators and trample them to death.
But that's not what the wildebeests do. Instead the herd scatters in every direction.
I might be wrong, but I think the Western Europe acts this way because of the effects of WW II. Hitler ruthlessly destroyed many minority groups. Now no one wants to even criticize a minority group.
As do I...

As does this order in GB. Lose the uniform rule! Issue sidearms instead.
If I were Cameron...the answer would be..
Travel in groups of 5... locked and loaded..ferret out any Muzzies and shoot on site.
The members of the IRA are sane.
Really?
How about wearing their full uniform, sidearm included?
“Here nazi. Tarzan here, nazi.”
.........there are certain places in Texas that this guy would have gotten very dead very fast and would have had to been lifted off the street with a crane because of having so much lead in him..................
certain Sheriffs, particularly in West Texas would have let him lay there all day too!
Everyone should wear burquas!
yeah
"Miss me yet?"
Wrong. Sadly, unarmed bobbies were there within 5-7 minutes...but they did not approach the two (2) mooselimbs because there were weapons involved. You can see in the videos the bobbies at both ends of the streets creating a cordon.
However, you are correct in the fact that it took twenty (20) minutes for ARMED bobbies to arrive. They had to run to the barracks, sign out their MP5s and then rush to the scene. It was a miracle that they muzzies didnt get on that bus and stab everyone on it.

“Commanders have advised troops not to wear uniform travelling to and from work or outside bases following the brutal killing of a member of the military”
That is total BS!!! Wear your uniform and wear it proudly!!!
I haven’t been to London in a long time, but the last time I checked there aren’t any monuments erected in honor of Neville Chamberlain and his wonderful Munich Agreement in 1938 and that is all this amounts to — “appeasement,” period plain and simple.
A soldier does if they live off base and are going to/from work. A much more a pain in the ass for a soldier(s) to find a changing area so further wasting time getting in their work day uniform/doing their actual job. There is not a lot of offices that have separate changing areas and if you think a bathroom is sufficient, be prepared to wait in line for awhile. Some buildings have 500+ Active Duty.
Most British police are unarmed. And most police and public do not want them armed.
