On Wednesday, CNN anchor Jake Tapper dug into the controversial way in which members of President Barack Obama’s administration have apparently tried to intimidate whistleblowers in the government and the journalists that would investigate their stories. Tapper said that some, including the New York Times editorial board, have described the administration’s actions as “threatening fundamental freedoms of the press.” He warned Obama’s supporters to remember the precedent his administration is setting when a Republican next occupies the Oval Office.
Tapper noted that the scandal surrounding the subpoenaing of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s personal telephone and email records is sarcastically being referred to as a “conspiracy to commit journalism.”
“Keep in mind, there’s no allegation that James Rosen bribed, threatened, coerced anyone to get the information, which is what journalists do,” Tapper said. “We try to get information, especially information that the government doesn’t want us to share with you.”

That doesn't make him exactly unbiased, if he was he'd be implying lawbreaking instead of offering such lukewarm criticism, but it makes him quite a bit better than his contemporaries.

The media and the rest of the ruling class may assume that there will never be another Republican President (after all, Hillary is a shoo-in for the 2016 and 2020 elections and by 2024 amnesty will have tilted the electorate irreversibly in a Democatic direction)...or if a Republican were to win, he would be too honest or too cautious to use their methods against them.
The idea that the people in charge of the executive branch can use the machinery of the federal government to ensure their continued hold on power ought to scare all honest Americans...but most Democrats are probably thinking it's OK as long as only "right-wingers" were the victims, as long as the public doesn't punish the Democrats in the next election.
What Jake doesn't understand is that Obamugabe never plans on there BEING a Republican (conservative Republican) as President.
Just as the Clown has co-opted 98% of the media (national and local, print and broadcast and social and 'net)...and worked overtime to intimidate and bully any media opposition (see: IRS, AP, attacks on Rush Limbaugh, attackwatch.com, the firing of Larry Conners in St. Louis, etc.) there will be no one who will dare criticize his chosen successor.

Except if a Republican does this, the media will squeal in outrage instead of spinning to protect the administration. Heard anyone in the MSM compare Obama to Hitler or McCarthy yet? I didn’t think so.
Harry Reid needs to consider the same warning.
We may soon reach a point where the first party to suspend civil rights and wipe out the other will be declared the winner.
