I live in Gowdy’s district and can tell you he is the real deal. He has a spine which is lacking in a lot of other Repubs.

Depends. His personal web page states a solid pro-2A position, but the only quote from him on the "on the issues" website says only that he believes we have "enough federal laws on the books". I'd prefer it if he could clarify that to opposing those unConstitutional Federal laws and how the 2A's protections should extend rightly via Art 6 para 2's "laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding" clause.

Other than that, he looks solid and I love the way he beats up on liberals in the hearings... ;-)
