Abortion is not a tax issue, the question is not who pays for them, abortion needs to be against the law, forbidden, promoting libertarianism and their abortion goals, and their advancing the homosexual agenda at the federal level is wrong for you to do.
1.4 Abortion
Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.
1.3 Personal Relationships
Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the government's treatment of individuals, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration or military service laws. Government does not have the authority to define, license or restrict personal relationships. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships.

Nah.
Every liberal is a Progressive scu*bag.
IMHO
This statement is a lie.
1972 Platform Abortion-- "We support an end to all subsidies for childbearing built into our present laws, including all welfare plans and the provision of tax-supported services for children. We further support the repeal of all laws restricting voluntary birth control or voluntary termination of pregnancies during their first hundred days."
1974 Platform Abortion--"We support an end to all subsidies for childbearing built into our present laws, including all welfare plans and the provision of tax-supported services for children. We further support the repeal of all laws restricting voluntary birth control or the right of the woman to make a personal moral choice regarding the termination of pregnancy."
Notice that the 1974 Platform has zero limits or restrictions, just like today.
2012 Platform Abortion--Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.
No. Only if you accept that the Party is the philosophy.
It isn't.
No more so than the GOP is 100% pure republican conservatism.
But, you know this. You are just too much of a troll to admit it.
Your post 39 has you using the LP to explain the libertarian position on abortion.”” Look, weve been over this. The LP takes a no stance, but we think it should be a States issue and not Federal position.””, you were lying even then about the libertarian position, but it is your post.
That makes sense since the party that the libertarians founded to promote libertarianism is a perfect refection of their philosophy and there is no better source for seeing libertarian thought in politics.
Your claim that the party drifted away from something was a lie, you know very well that their abortion position has always been, pro-abortion.
I think you used to admit being a member of that pro-abortion/pro homosexual (even at the federal level) party or at least voting for them, now you want to lie about them having reversed their abortion position at some time, they didn’t.
I haven't been a member of the LP since around 2003 when I let my membership lapse. Since moving back up here to MN, I've been working exclusively with the local GOP and TEA Party.
You can keep calling me a liar if you want. It isn't going to change the fact that it isn't true and you are still a troll.
Wow, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-open borders and for wanting to eliminate the Border Patrol and INS, amazing.
2000 Party Platform
Abortion--"Recognizing that abortion is a very sensitive issue and that people, including libertarians, can hold good-faith views on both sides, we believe the government should be kept out of the question."
Homosexuals in federal law such as the military and immigration, and any other laws at any level--"We oppose any government attempt to dictate, prohibit, control, or encourage any private lifestyle, living arrangement or contractual relationship.
We support repeal of existing laws and policies which are intended to condemn, affirm, encourage, or deny sexual lifestyles or any set of attitudes about such lifestyles."
IMMIGRATION
"We hold that human rights should not be denied or abridged on the basis of nationality. We condemn massive roundups of Hispanic Americans and others by the federal government in its hunt for individuals not possessing required government documents. We strongly oppose all measures that punish employers who hire undocumented workers. Such measures repress free enterprise, harass workers, and systematically discourage employers from hiring Hispanics.
We welcome all refugees to our country and condemn the efforts of U.S. officials to create a new "Berlin Wall" which would keep them captive. We condemn the U.S. government's policy of barring those refugees from our country and preventing Americans from assisting their passage to help them escape tyranny or improve their economic prospects.
Undocumented non-citizens should not be denied the fundamental freedom to labor and to move about unmolested. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age, or sexual preference.
We therefore call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally. We oppose government welfare and resettlement payments to non-citizens just as we oppose government welfare payments to all other persons."
More like:
Libertarian- Everyone and everything is perfect as long as I can get stoned.
Conservative- Mind your own business and I will mind my own business, and the US Constitution is perfect, even though we humans are not and can never be.
Liberal- No one is perfect except for me, and whoever tells me I am perfect, and everyone else I can and will make perfect, and if they don’t like it, then tough because I know what’s good for them even if they disagree.
To a liberal, freedom is slavery..
I think it is interesting that people believe that liberals care about making others perfect. I don’t think they want to make anyone - anything. I think they want others dead and out of the picture.
Just a different point of view, I guess.
pingy to the nature of men in gubmint...

Good catch. Happy to send to the Greenfield Ping List.
Ping.
Noumenon puts it more succinctly: scratch a liberal, find a fascist.
Exactly!
...”The Progressive believes in precisely two things:
.... his own magnificence and the constructive power of brute force......... In combination, they lead him naturally from the role of pestiferous busybody to brutal dictator.
Where the productive man dreams of the things he might create if only left alone by his fellows,.... the Progressive dreams of the world he could create if only the lives and property of his fellows were at his disposal.”...
