Your conservative definition is great, I’d extrapolate a bit further on “the US Constitution is perfect”.
It’s the recognition of objective right and wrong beyond human definition, ie, recognition of God’s Perfect Law, on which the Constitution is based.

If altruism is believed to be man's prime virtue, then the next step is the belief that if some are not altruistic then they are bad people because they are depriving others of what they must provide them.
