Congratulations N.A. Halkides, Oleg Atbashian and Daniel Greenfield!"
Libertarian - Everybody is perfect
Conservative - Nobody is perfect
Liberal - Everybody can be made to be perfect
BRILLIANT WRITING!!!!
Bloggers take note: Inflammatory, brilliant and accurate Thesis in the first two sentences.
Spectacular.
This is the standard of engaging writing to which people should aspire.
Don’t drivel! Hit ‘em hard, so they’ll know what you mena, and keep reading.
Actually there are two possibilities. There is either a totalitarian screaming to get out or a conservative trying to escape.
After all, look at David Horowitz himself. His inner conservative managed to escape its dyed in the wool communist shell.
(mean)
Yep! Only $1,000? This essay is worth $1,000,000! Nice graphic too. Is that Bloomberg?
Be sure to bookmark and save.
Liberal - Everybody will be made perfect
There, fixed it for you.
I think it goes like this:
Libertarian- Everyone is perfect as long as I can get stoned.
Conservative- Mind your own business and I will mind my own business, and the US Constitution is perfect.
Liberal- No one is perfect except for me, and whoever tells me I am perfect
Progressive is just rebranding communist & marxist
Somebody ping our "FR word of the day" guy!
One size doesn’t fit all. It’s a spectrum that applies to both right and left.
There are the liberal elite who don’t care about power over others, they already have that. They want to control the lives of the little people so they don’t consume too much, or pollute too much and end up fouling up the elite’s world.
Then there are the foot soldiers who desperately hope for shared misery. They are willing to accept any regulation, provided it applies to all, so that we’re “all the same”.
BTTT
I’m sure that drawing is supposed to be generic, but I wish it generically looked a little more like Bloomberg than Al Haig.
An excellent rationale for not giving Progressives an in, as they will certainly take a mile.
I agree. I guess it's easier and a little more tolerable on the ears to say "Progressive" than "Communist, Marxist, Totalitarian, Murderous Monster."
Yeah, you can call yourself Progressive and still feel good about yourself.
I have very strong libertarian leanings and as a small “l” libertarian, I understand, because nobody is perfect, that then the state should step aside and let the individual create his/her own Utopia as long as they don’t infringe on or cause harm to another person’s desire to create their own Utopia.
After all, I’ve seen many “conservatives” fight to keep their own government goodies coming
This essay is right on the money,BTW
>> pestiferous
I learned a new word! I like it. It’ll be useful, here and elsewhere.
Bravo! Might I say, "perfect"?
