On Tuesday, KY Sen. Rand Paul launched a spirited defense of Apple, whose tax strategies were subject to a hearing of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. "I frankly think the committee should apologize to Apple," Paul said. Paul went on to accuse the committee of "bullying" one of America's greatest companies, prompting Sen. John McCain to quickly defend the inquiry and say that Paul's remarks were "frankly, offensive."

Our government would be in big, big trouble if $16M were 2% of its daily take.
can=can’t
From the comments section: “Why is Cindy McCain’s fortune in a Trust if not to avoid taxes?”
McLame is just an operative for Obama. He has been promised a cushy job Secretary of the Navy.
“John McCain is offensive.”
McCain is the favorite Republican on the Sunday morning talk shows. He is also an egomaniac who loves the spotlight. In order to keep his position as the #1 Republican on the talk shows he portray himself as the great compromising statesman who will stab conservatives in the back while reaching across the aisle and doing the right thing. If he were a true conservative the press wouldn’t give him the time of day.
Lindsay Graham is his understudy. Same behavior and increasing visibility in the mainstream media as the face of a “reasonable” Republican. It appears when McCain finally goes to pasture, Graham is ready to step into his shoes.
Paul is much closer to Cruz on illegal immigration then he is to McCain.
I’m offended by John McCain. Fight the real battle, as our freedoms slip away under a communist regime in the White House, he is “offended” by Rand Paul standing up for capitaliism! Shame on YOU John McCain!
Interesting theory and it wouldn’t really surprise me if it were true.
And you're being quite polite to leave it at that!
“Im not an Apple person, but Rand is right. To paraphrase him, Congress needs to be talking to a mirror to discuss what is wrong.”
Well, over the past few years, under pressure from my daughters, I have transitioned to Apple products. However, I refuse to give up Microsoft, have Office loaded :)
Anyway, to the subject; there is a difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. The first is legal and the second is not. The fact that Apple is practicing tax avoidance should be expected. In fact Apple, as any corporation doing its due diligence, is doing exactly what it should be doing. It’s not Apples fault that it is smarter than congress. Actually, not particularly difficult, especially the likes of McCain. The old senile goat needs to go back to Arizona and park his butt on the front porch and enjoy those desert sunsets for whatever time he has remaining....
they better stop using the idiot word “offensive” Rand used it too, it makes a person sound stupid
that is stupid
The subject is not what McCain endured at the hands of the communists in Vietnam—because it is without doubt— it is what we are enduring here today with the communists in the White House; and the total waste of time and money in questioning a successful company.
McCain has fully bought into the socialist agenda. Corporate monetary success = bad. Gubmit giveaways = good
Oh McCain.....You've done it again!!!
I am expecting a vintage photo of John McShame to show up any day now sitting on a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun surrounded by gooks...al a Hanoi Jane. John has chosen and now sides with the Communists.
I am offended that mcbunghole is still a free man. I can now see why the NV tortured his sorry arse... they hated him too. There is nothing to like within that demon. Retire you pos traitor.

They paid every penny required and used every law to minimize their tax bill and nothing is wrong... the left admitted it... they say that Apple should have voluntarily paid more taxes to be a “good neighbor”. We are looking at Capitalists vs communists... it is that simple.
