Conservatives and Republicans would be unwise to pursue President Obama's impeachment as my colleague Bruce Walker today argues. The odds are the effort would backfire, and there is a much more important goal that should be at the center of our political strategy: sweeping Democrats out of office in 2014 and 2016 in numbers sufficient to enact structural reforms, including replacement of the tax system and junking the IRS and outlawing public employee unions.

Look at the results of the 1974 elections to see how removal of a President from office can help lead to electoral victory. Democrats gained four seats in the Senate and 49 seats in the House.
Bearing in mind that in two years 0bama fatigue will hopefully have set in, the ‘perfect storm’ of a President plagued by scandal and a angry electorate could pay huge dividends.
In other words, multitask. By that time, it may be quite clear that simple justice demands the removal of 0bama from office.
“Dumping impeachment is good advice——if conservatives are running things-—we screw up his agenda-—and wont need to waste our time and resources impeaching this guy.”
Take over both the house and $inate and keep Obozo in office as a living reason for sane Americans to get rid of Rats in Congress and across the country.
Tell the rats we want to keep Herr Obozo in office while we remove his fellow rats. If they/the rats want him out of office because he is killing their party, they can do it.
Your line of thought and comments are excellent.
So here is your excellent reply again:
“I think democrats are hoping for a move to impeach more than are the republicans.
Sensible people know that Impeachment would go nowhere in the Senate.
But it would rally supporters of Obama and democrats just in time to save them in the 2014 elections.
Republicans need to concentrate on keeping Obama on the defensive - exposing the criminality in the administration and seeing Obamas henchmen and she-men convicted and sent to prison.”
I think they need to keep exposing the criminality and corruption,
AND
keep saying that those these are impeachable offenses,
democrats and political correctness make such an option impossible,
and are enablers of corruption.
The Russians have bomb shelters for civilians but we don’t; blame Hussein for that.
Yes, I agree with this statement and the gist of the article.
Impeachment is what the Democrats would like us to do for them, and we shouldn't oblige them. Obama is an albatross around the dems' collective necks. Once it is perceived that the party could go down supporting him, then the party will begin to cooperate. Impeachment would then be possible, also the party asking him to resign. Would he resign? Probably not, but he would then represent even more of an anchor on dem political prospects.
The media, meanwhile, seems to already realize that it's the party or him. They seem to me to have chosen to protect the Democrat party.
I can not care less about Hillary. She will have a tough time in her own primary, and hopefully, if we nominate a strong, well spoken conservative, the Hillary issue will take care of itself.
right now, I want justice for our dead and injured. I want justice for our military and intelligence agency employees. I want justice for Americas’ tax payers, for our Constitution, for dead Mexicans and our Border guards.
I want truth an justice.
“....sweeping Democrats out of office in 2014 and 2016 in numbers sufficient to enact structural reforms, including replacement of the tax system and junking the IRS and outlawing public employee unions.”
.
And you automatically assume that the PUBs you place in office will enact these changes?
Hell, most of them will be busy reaching across the aisle a la McCain just to keep their cushy jobs.
Can you imagine the pardons this man is going to sell or give out to spite good America?
Great strategy.

LOOKS LIKE THE DEMS MIGHT BE GETTING NERVOUS Proud "Progressive Democrat" Barbara Buono is on track to become the first major party nominee in New Jersey state history who fails to raise enough money in the primary to qualify for maximum public financing.
NJ Democrats are registered 10-1 but Buono can't even raise enough money to qualify for matching funds. Buonos campaign war chest is so skimpy she may not generate enough contributions to secure all of her public matching funds for the primary or general election. NOTE Buono is running in a crowded latino state---and was just endorsed by an Hispanic group. (SOURCE http://www.nj.com/)

Democrat candidates fear Obama group will siphon money from them (via his IRS approved non-profit) / By Anita Kumar | McClatchy Newspapers
EXCERPT--Obamas decision to launch his own political non-profit organization (for which he got fast-track IRS approval) has some Democrats wondering: Is he just in it for himself? Obamas new group, Organizing for Action, will focus on his policy agenda not on electing Democratic candidates by raising unlimited amounts of cash and accessing the presidents secret list of 20 million supporters, volunteers and donors.
The Obama operation wont share money, resources or the priceless Obama email list with the DNC or campaign committees that help elect members of Congress, governors and legislators. And it has no plans to coordinate efforts, leading some Democrats to worry that it will take money and manpower away from the party as it heads into the 2014 elections for control of Congress.
Theres only so much money to go around in Democratic circles. Theres a limited pool of resources, said Gilda Cobb Hunter, a South Carolina legislator and a member of the Democratic National Committee. Why cant we strengthen one entity? Several DNC members said in interviews that they werent told about Organizing for Actions formation until it was publicly announced in January. They said that when theyd complained, they were chastised and told by national and state party leaders not to speak publicly.
Most spoke to McClatchy only on condition of anonymity in order to talk candidly about the internal party dispute. Party Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a congresswoman from Florida, tried to alleviate concerns in a conference call with Democrats in March, stressing that the groups wouldnt compete for money and resources in part because they had different missions. --SNIP--

Those reforms would take a lot of power away from GOPe pols as well. It would be an uphill fight.
Even with his likely TREASON, it is fine to leave a Treasonous pResident in office. Otherwise, you just animate his base. Rather, lets dispirit them for 2 election cycles.
I so agree. His criminal behavior is starting to be exposed and work against him. Let’s not allow him out of the office,,but make him stay there and face the daily music.
I asked a big time Democrat lawyer at a party once if perjury is truly a crime. He got the inference, became indignant, and never did actually answer my question.
The IRS scandal resonates with the American people and the Democratic party will do anything to try to avoid being directly linked to it.
Democrats universally would throw Obama under a bus if he can be directly linked to the IRS scandal. Such a development would be catastrophic for the Democratic party.
You're correct. The facts are a long way from being revealed.
One thing the American people won't stand for is government tyranny, including using the IRS as a political weapon. That is far different than a President lying about sex with an intern.
Conservatives need to stop overcompensating for mistakes made in the past.
There are 21.8 million armed forces veterans in the United States.
There are 1.5 million members on active duty, 860,000 members in the Reserve, and 500,000 in the National Guard. There are 800,000 DoD civilians - 90% of whom are about to take a 20% pay cut. Millions working for the Defense Industry or industries related to the national defense, and thousand of defense workers have already been laid off, or are facing lay offs.
The GOP has abandoned the military. The DoD was cut $487 Billion BEFORE Sequestration took another $650 Billion, and still the GOP cheers this travesty on.
How the GOP Learned to Love Defense Cuts
GOP support among the military is falling like a rock. Military no less conservative, but less Republican, survey finds
The GOP has become the party of military cuts instead of a strong national defense. It has become the party of austerity instead of strong economic growth. Other troops questioned by Military Times suggested the recent budget battles on Capitol Hill, in which a growing number of Republicans are coming out in support of cutting the defense budget, also have eroded some support for the party. Republicans kind of used to be seen as the party that took care of the military, said one Army sergeant first class. But recently, theres a feeling that that has kind of shifted, and I dont think people feel that the party is really looking out for the military the way it used to.
Prior to myths around here, military members, pro-defense patriots, and veterans STILL vote, and vote in large numbers. The GOP is building rainbow bridges in the sky, thinking that if it passes "Immigration Reform" and hands out more Trillions to illegal immigrants, it will get more mythical Hispanic voters. The party better remember who it is betraying, and pray the military and veterans don't read the news or possess the ability to realize they have been stabbed in the back.
Agree with this article. Impeachment calls, especially at this stage, would backfire.
Treason is an act of betrayal against one's country.
Barak Obama is not and never has been an American. Nazi Pelosi committed treason when she certified him as elgible to be president, without any legal proof.
Glenn Beck’s teaser method of MAYBE having news is tiring.
