I think that black people from poor community are more likely to attack anyone regardless of the race or gender.

And then the blacks get so upset that everyone else discriminates against them.
And why do we discriminate? Because enough blacks act this way (especially when they outnumber the other races in the immediate area) to show us that this is the rule rather than the exception.

Jesse Jackson (of all people) had that figured out a long time ago. I was just surprised that he let it slip in public when he made that statement years ago about how relieved he is to come across a group of young men on a city street in Chicago and find out that they are white.

The attackers made it perfectly clear that they were beating on this family solely because they were white. I'm not sure why you are implying that the attackers would have targeted anyone “regardless of race or gender”. This was racist blacks assaulting white people because they can get away with it. Of course they almost certainly ensured that this man will be getting his concealed carry within the next two months.

No, they're more likely to attack white people. To think differently is being naive.
Is this not a hate crime?

BULLSCAT. People need to be aware of their surroundings(These folks were clueless) and always be ready to fight. Never leave the house without your socks on and a 45 with spare clips.

“Poor” has nothing to do with it. I’ve walked the streets in every war torn African country on the map. I've been more endangered when turning onto the wrong street in DC or Baltimore. Wrong color in the wrong place? Wait ‘till they get a load of mine: Glock Tenifer black.

Two words: concealed carry.
Regardless as to attacker profile or motive, that is the solution.

Feral people.Perfect summary.
I was blessed to grow up in Birmingham, Alabama in the 1940s and 1950s. I didn't have to worry about black violence against my parents and myself.

And know how to shoot the weapon. There have been a lot of firearms sold recently. Many have been purchased by newbies who look at their shiny new toy then put it away or take it on a road trip while never shooting it once.
Practice, practice, practice! Everone needs to own at least one hand gun that they can pick up and when they do it is as comfortable as an old pair of jeans. A natural extension.
When you are in the bad part of town and the zombies attack like they did here at least you can persuade them to go chew on other flesh. Even some zombies that are Obama kin understand that they are better off leaving a well armed and well trained taxpayer alone if that taxpayer can take them off the welfare rolls permanently.

You just hit on the key
It aint the skin
It’s the behavior. Once the skin color is not part of the discussion and the behavior is the focus, no one can defend it
Therefore the skin is use as the shield

The black on black death rate is very high and it’s not all thugs killing thugs - sometimes it’s thugs killing good kids walking home from school or killing people who actually have a job and have worked to get some little thing, such as a fancy jacket or an IPad, for example, that the thugs want.
Whites (Hispanic whites as well) and Asians are often targeted in a mixed area, however, because they are thought to be weak and not likely to be armed or armed only with a knife.
But the ghetto thug culture is the problem, creating a breed of feral creatures that preys on anyone it considers weaker. Yet we exalt this thug culture by paying billions of dollars to the rap music industry, considering thug dress to be a fashion standard, having a president who mimics ghetto speech, etc. The whole vicious culture must be rejected by everybody, including blacks and including the parts of white society that profit on it (the recording industry, for example).
