Tornado warnings up in Oklahoma. Watches in TX, OK, KS, MO, far NW Arkansas.
and now on to day 3
As I looked at the school that was destroyed, I couldn't help but wonder how the outcome might have been different if there would have been a safe room with concrete walls and roof in the center of the building. The space could otherwise function as an auditorium or cafeteria.
OK. It’s morning, and we only had strong winds and lots of thunder, lightning, and rain.
GGGG-grandpa Caleb Bostick. GGG-grandpa Sion Bostick was at the first battle of Bexar. He and cousin Robison (another 300) were in the scouting group who brought in Santa Anna at San Jacinto. It’s good to hear these stories.
Weather is going to kick up again this evening so stay safe.
Oh good. Safe!...
The school was built in the 60’s...not one of the newer ones which explains it pretty much...
My family is from Oklahoma. From Antlers up to Guthrie, and east and west of those places throughout the state. I recieved text message several hours after the storm hit that all were okay! Nobody lives in Moore any more, but several were in the path. Prayers up for Oklahoma!
Yep.....I enjoy vidoes, but so often you cannot examine them or get “the moment” needed to pause at. Photos give an understanding and a closer look.....a much needed “pause” of the heart.
Several of them made me cry; like the National Guard guy crying! And the grandma with her cat; grandpa in his rocking chair; all the children photos! Citizens hiked up on those piles of rubble searching... inspiring and heart-wrenching!! Again, thanks!!
I just meant you joined in the chorus. I didn’t think you were being mean. :-)
